In addition to our regular articles on I-Mockery, next week will be Halloween Candy Week! Every day next week I will be putting up a new page for "I-Mockery's Ultimate Guide to the Halloween Candies of 2007". That's right, the best and worst candies of the 2007 Halloween season will be reviewed on the site so you can decide which ones to look for and which ones to avoid like the black plague. So yeah, expect quite a sugar high all next week... unless of course, I pass out from eating too much candy, in which case there will be no updates at all. And if you notice there are no updates on the site, please call an ambulance because it probably means that I'm in a candy coma.
In other news, Re has decided to give you an extra special Halloween treat this month! My friends, I'm proud to present for your listening and viewing pleasure, a video featuring her very own rendition of the classic Ministry tune "Everyday Is Halloween":
"well I live with snakes and lizards
and other things that go bump in the night
cuz to me everyday is halloween
I have given up hiding and started to fight
I have started to fightwell any time, any place, anywhere that I go
all the people seem to stop and stare
they say 'why are you dressed like it's halloween?
you look so absurd, you look so obscene'o, why can't I live a life for me?
why should I take the abuse that's served?
why can't they see they're just like me
it's the same, it's the same in the whole wide worldwell I let their teeny minds think
that they're dealing with someone who is over the brink
and I dress this way just to keep them at bay
cus halloween is everyday
it's everydayo, why can't I live a life for me?
why should I take the abuse that's served?
why can't they see they're just like me
it's the same, it's the same in the whole wide worldMmm, bop bop bop!"

Candy coma? Nah, you'd get diabeetus first. Which means...Brimley. Anyway, I hope there's some great reviews. And if I see oats, I'll know you've gotten diabeetus.
Keith (Guest) on 10/05/2007 4:19 pm
Here's a chilling thought: What if "Everyday is Halloween" was the inspiration for Hanson's "MmmBop?"
Ian (Guest) on 10/05/2007 8:07 pm
i want that song on my Ipod now.
Codiekitty (Guest) on 10/05/2007 8:09 pm
Could I make a suggestion for the candy guide?
Is there any way you could list where you got the candy? I remember running around town for some of the stuff you reviewed last year, like the witch's cauldron and the bleeding donut, but to no avail. And I really wanted a bleeding donut.
Aks (Guest) on 10/06/2007 1:59 am
Good idea!
When she started laughing I lost it.
Tim (Guest) on 10/06/2007 2:56 am
Good stuff! Re *rocks* the Ministry!
ico (Guest) on 10/06/2007 10:25 am
My god, that was terrible. My eyes are bleeding and i can never get that voice out of my head. Well thank you so fucking much for showing me the creepiest thing i have ever seen for halloween. I'm gonna have some serious mental problems now. (But she did way better than i ever would...)
ico (Guest) on 10/06/2007 11:29 am
Okay, (sorry about the last one), this is little of topic but, have anybody seen the new re-makes of The hills have eyes films? I just bought them and enjoyed the first one very much. It had all the blood, atmosphere and characters you can ask from a great horror movie. But the second part just sucked in every way. They have an army of assholes going around in the desert, no decent gore effects (CGI), and the movie was overall boring. Yes, it has bashing the mutant head with a rock moment, but it just didn't make rest of the movie any better. So, what do others think about these re-makes? Just figured to ask this, since it's halloween (the time of great shitty movies) and all...

Woot!
You go girl!
(I am female myself btw...)
Mmmm Halloween candy guide, the sweetest (sweets... sweetest geddit hehehehehe! the *hilarity*) form of suffering.
If at some point the candy starts maniacally laughing/shrieking with the torment of a thousand souls, glowing the colour of virgins blood and beckoning you through a magic portal thats just opened in the floor...... well, (as we say in England) jog on mate.
peter (Guest) on 10/06/2007 2:26 pm

Jen (Guest) on 10/06/2007 2:31 pm

You's a lucky man there Mista r0g.

Adam, unless I'm watching "The Thing", "Cocoon" or playing a rom hack, I don't think I have to worry about Wilford and his "diabeetus" attacks too much this season, heheh.
Keith, if that's even remotely true, then I hope Al Jourgensen kills the members of Hanson for taking his awesome song and ruining it.
Ian, you 'n me both.
Codiekitty, not sure if I'll actually be including that info in the articles since I've bought so much of the stuff and it varies from state to state which places carry what. However, if there are any candies in particular that you want to know where I found them, I'll be more than happy to let you know if it's not mentioned in the article itself. Sound good?
ico, can't say I was a fan of the original sequel to The Hills Have Eyes, so I wasn't all that interested in a remake of it. The remake of the original wasn't too shabby though, but still, it didn't have Michael Berryman in it and was therefore... inferior!
Jen, glad you're looking forward to the Halloween candy reviews. As for Re, thanks but I'm afraid you can't steal her away... finders keepers. Thems the rules!
ColdFusion, can't argue with ya there. Unfortunately for her, she's an unlucky woman having ended up with me 'n all...
Dr. Volshurawitz (Guest) on 10/07/2007 5:54 pm
Yeah... Don't quit your day job Re.
Ian (Guest) on 10/08/2007 11:30 am

Jesse B (Guest) on 10/09/2007 1:32 am
So, when did you find the evil clone of yourself. Or is it the real one with a beard. >_>
ico (Guest) on 10/09/2007 12:26 pm
Now i'm pissed. We have no fucking halloween candy in Finland. If there is, it must be some special store, that sell's them. And guess what?: There's no special store's where i live. So, does anyone have any tips of making my own treats? Man, this place does suck...
Maquel (Guest) on 10/09/2007 4:21 pm
tee hee. cute song, re.
i wish i had enough balls to do that.
yeah i get pretty pumped about the candy reviews
each year. being an 18 year old, i don't get to go trick or treating anymore(*sob*)so its really neat to see all the different and bizzare seasonal goodies they have out around this time of year.
Bradley (Guest) on 10/11/2007 1:22 am
Damn it, Rog. What did you do to deserve a cute girl that not only tolerates your Halloween obsession, but is a freaking cutey?
ico (Guest) on 10/11/2007 6:23 am
It's like The Bride of Frankenstein...
Kitsunexus (Guest) on 10/11/2007 7:59 am
Damn. >_
Kitsunexus (Guest) on 10/11/2007 8:00 am
Oops...
Sorry, no mincing around with witty banter here, that was bad. But for her to actually do that took the kinds of courage I don't have, so she still gets kudos.
MrEff (Guest) on 10/11/2007 11:50 am
Due to my location I've never ever eaten candy corn, I wonder if you can get it online?
Anyway good so far with the candy guide, and great singing!
briny bill (Guest) on 10/12/2007 2:38 am

briny bill (Guest) on 10/12/2007 2:42 am

Codiekitty (Guest) on 10/12/2007 12:18 pm
Did they fix that frog dissection kit? I got one of those when Target first started having Halloween candies, and it was foul. The flies weren't even encased in the frog - the frog had a large indent in its belly and the flies were in a packet in there, so you could just lift the frog and take the flies. The frog itself was so hard it actually bent the scalpel and tasted like plastic.
re (Guest) on 10/13/2007 10:40 am
I know I am the worst singer, that's why it's funny. You know, like that big time show on the TV with the bad singers. If you are all lucky I might just sing the Elvis version of Blue Christmas this holiday season.
Nate Birch (Guest) on 10/17/2007 1:52 am
How a nerdy guy who spends his time writing about action figures and horror movies got such a cutie pie I'm not sure, but it gives hope to us all.
FoRgEd (Guest) on 10/30/2007 10:27 am
I am total opposite of this guy seriously, back in here we don't even spend the joyful halloween, oh how i wanted to be like state kiddies when back in the day, we don't even have proper candies out here, even god damn pop rocks are banned. I could sell my soul for package of pop rocks..
