Title: Asteroids
Author:Atari
Rom Player: Stella
Reviewer: Randy Johnson

Synopsis: Back in the summer of 1984, I bought Asteroids for my Atari 2600 and it only cost $7.00. I seldom played the Asteroids arcade game, but I did like it. Unfortunately, I stunk at it. That's probably why I seldom played it.
What I liked better about the 2600 Asteroids was that it was in color and was easier. The 33rd game was the easiest. I can play this for hours. You can even switch the difficulty to B and turn off the ship that flies by and shoots at you.
Like the arcade version, you control a ship in the middle of an asteroid field. You must blast away at the Asteroids. When you blast the large asteroids, they break into smaller asteroids. You must then shoot the smaller ones to clear a screen.
I read an article in a book about the Atari 2600 Asteroids. The author said that the asteroids look like sherbet and this game should've been called Sherbert Shooter. But I still like this version of Asteroids. It's fun and it's in color. The Atari 7800 version is even better.
