Synopsis: You're probably thinking another Mario game where it's “guy rescues girl,” right? WRONG! This adds some originality to not just the plot, but the gameplay as well. The story involves Jewelry Land being robbed of its twelve jewels, and the king and his son being put under house arrest. It turns out that Bowser is behind this atrocity, and the man in red and Yoshi try to stop this crap from ripping the world apart. Gameplay makes use of the Super Scope 6 and Mode 7 graphics. Therefore, it's not like today's stop-and-go light gun games such as Dino Stalker. Did I mention that there's a fair amount of jumping in this game to keep it from getting repetitive? The graphics used a lot of Mode 7 to make it feel like 3D at that time, while the sprites are well animated and anime-ish. The music and sound effects are well done and never get old.
However, there's no voice acting in this game, but most of the games on the Super NES didn't have voice acting, which makes perfect sense.
Overall, this game is a spectacular light gun game worth picking up. If you think Mario sucks because of the repetitive scenario, then you're in for something different in this game, pal. If you are sick of today's light gun games, then buy this game immediately. If you sold your Super NES for a newer system, then head to Game Trader and buy one to play it with, along with a Super Scope.
Best Cheats: Press and hold L , R, X, Y, Select, Start at the same time to play hard mode.
