Title: Bill & Ted's Excellent *GameBoy* Adventure
Author:LJN

Synopsis: Everyone knows that your typical liscenced game, whether it's based on a TV show or a movie or, god forbid, a product (read; Kool Aid), is absolute trash. A few good games slip through (Aladdin and Beavis & Butthead worth mentioning), but you're usually just getting ripped off.

Here's an exception to the rule.

I was in a GameStop with my girlfriend helping her look for a GameBoy game and of course she heads for games like Buffy and Nickolodeon games, and of course my efforts in trying to stear her into buying Qix and Yoshi's Cookie are in vain. Then the most random thing I ever saw. Is that fucking Bill & Ted on that cartridge? 3 bucks? Curiosity won me over.

So I brought it home. You know when you go on a long vacation trip and you bring some games to play on the way up that aren't really deep but they're fun as hell to play? Think Donkey Kong, Tetris, or Mario. If you're lucky enough to find it, Bill & Ted is one of those games you could play for 3 hours straight.

Story: It's basically the same plot from the first movie, minus George Carlin. Bill & Ted travel through time, blah blah blah.

Gameplay: Very loosely based on Donkey Kong. The level takes up the whole screen and there's obstacles to jump over, platforms to jump across, and ladders to climb. There will be glowing objects based on whatever time period you're in and once you collect them all, a door opens up and the level is over. Every 5 levels you switch between Bill & Ted, and there's also a 2 player mode where you switch off each time you lose a life.

Graphics: It's a GameBoy game; nothing special. Plus you can't really tell Bill & Ted apart. The hair is *slightly* darkened for Ted.

Sound: OMG. During the intro, after Bill & Ted introduce themselves, they introduce Wild Stalyns, and the developers actually added a digitized version of their guitar intro! Instant 10.

Replay Value: You WILL play this game more than once.
