Title: Donkey Kong JR.
Rom Player: NESticle
Reviewer: Randy Johnson

Synopsis: Back in the eighties, I was a fan of the Donkey Kong Jr. arcade game. Unfortunately, I wasn't good at it. My best friend fibbed. He told me that the arcade Donkey Kong Jr. only had three screens like the Colecovision version. I was surprised to learn about the electricity screen when I bought the NES Donkey Kong Jr. in 1987.
The four screens are the jungle screen, the moving platforms screen, the electricity screen, and the keys screen. The goal on three of the four screens is to climb to the top. The goal on the keys screen is to push six keys to the top of the screen and unlock Donkey Kong's cage. On the jungle screen, you must dodge and/or kill blue and red snapjaws. On the platforms screen, you must dodge and or kill birds. On the electricity screen, you must dodge and/or destroy bolts of electricity. On the keys screen, you must dodge and/or kill red snapjaws and blue birds.
It was impressive that they put all four screens on the NES Donkey Kong Jr. They only put three of the four screens on the NES Donkey Kong.
The NES Donkey Kong Jr. looks identical to the arcade. My only complaint is that you get no points on the first screen when jumping over enemies.
The NES Donkey Kong Jr. is easier than the arcade version when you choose the easier skill level.
I've also written a review on the Atari 2600 Donkey Kong Jr. Unfortunately, it wasn't favorable.
If you're a NES owner and a Donkey Kong Jr. fan, buy this game. I like it so much that I recently bought a spare on Ebay.
