Synopsis: Back in the summer of 1995, I bought a 32X and Doom for my Genesis. The only reason I bought the 32X was so I could get Doom for it.
The Genesis 32X Doom wasn't that great, but it was the best 32X game made. It only had sixteen levels, but if you cheated or didn't start on the first level, there was only fifteen levels.
The Jaguar Doom was superior. It had 24 levels, but it had no music. The SNES Doom was superior to the 32X Doom in some ways, but not everyway. It had six more levels than the 32X, but it had rougher graphics and bad controls.
I no longer have the 32X connected to my Genesis, but it doesn't matter. My Playstation version of Doom is far superior. The PS Doom even included Doom II. Sadly, Doom II wasn't made for the 32X.
In Doom, you shoot zombies and demons. You must shoot Imps, cacodemons, Barons of hell, Shotgun men (Editor’s note: “shotgun men” were actually called Sergeants), etc. You must also find keys to unlock certain doors.
You get infinite lives and you begin each life with only a pistol. You can find other weapons and ammunition. You can find a shotgun, a chaingun, a rocket launcher, a chainsaw, etc.
The 32X Doom was cool, but it was too short. But I still think it's better than the SNES version.
