This is a letter from today's edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Just thought I'd share it with you all. Remember it each time the Bush administration says that unemployment is dropping.
----------------------------------------------------
Misleading statistics?
Now that Congress has refused to extend the unemployment benefits for 365,000 Americans, will President George W. Bush claim that this is further evidence that his tax reduction plans are working to improve the economy? If there are 365,000 fewer people drawing unemployment benefits, they no longer would be considered unemployed. I can hardly wait to see the unemployment figures for April.
