I had one for about five minutes. Then I saw my life for the empty, miserable, barren waste that it is, and gave up on it, because no one would ever want to expend their already-scarce time reading about the god-awful boring minutiae of my insipid existence. :)

Livejournals are for people who want to feel important and/or meaningful, and I will smile the day all these peoples' recorded mundane lives are destroyed in one big server crash, and they are doomed to the same forgotten fate as everyone else.

Not that they aren't already.

I mean, really, the opening 'mood' indicator really captures the essence of the LJ; no-one cares what you feel like except for your family and friends, and there are better ways to talk to them than leaving them and the rest of the world little post-it notes about how your shitty, uneventful life is proceeding.

It's more pathetic than masturbation, because you invite everyone to come watch you do it.

The sad thing is, I know people that update their livejournals with this frequency. Sadder yet is the fact that at least one of them is posting here now.

LiveJournals are for people who like to write the things they don't want to tell other people to their faces, and then have them read it. In other words: WOMEN. >:

I have a LJ and I have a xanga.

And yes I am one of those women.

*sighs*

But I only post a few times a month and now everything is friends only or private.

Journals are fine as long as they're not filled with poetic bullshit and other such drivel.

I'm actually going to be starting a blog of my own here on I-Mockery (simply because I hate the lack of customization that livejournal offers).

i have one basically as a Stories for the Bored sort of thing. i dont post in it much because i spend a lot of time posting here, and i have been working on stuff that is too long/important to me to just give away.

jeeze that sound pretentious, i am currently writing stuff that I really care about seeing done, or at least in second draft before i share, not that anyone would want to read it is more what i mean.

tonight i am writing about my friend jesus. jesus just gets a one and done.
