Obviously we get a shitload of goods from China, but why are we so hell bent on not trading with Cuba, or even letting Cuban artists come to the Grammys? Of course we'll let Yao Ming come play basketball, but a trumpet player can't even come get a little metal award to take home?

Wrong.
China could kick your ass. Cuba could not.

Neither China or Cuba are communist. There has never been a communist country and there never will. Countries will not exist with Communism
China is *basicaly* capitalist. Cuba is *basicaly* socialist.
Also, the US likes China because they are the only country that executes.more per year than them. Real liberal.

Cuban cigars are truly divine, and the US is all the worse for banning them.

China continues to liberalize her markets, while at the same time remaining a FAR worse human rights violator than Cuba. This, however, doesn't matter so much me thinks....
