NASHVILLE, Tennessee (AP) -- A man was arrested on charges of killing his neighbor's 17-year-old dog by place-kicking it like a football.

Chad Daniel Crawford, 23, was charged with cruelty to animals and vandalism Tuesday in the death of Gizmo, a 2-pound miniature Yorkshire terrier. Crawford was freed on $25,000 bail.

Jalani Lewis said he was in his apartment complex when he saw one of three men holding the dog like a football and then saw Crawford kick the animal.

Lewis said the dog flew through the air in a high arc, hit the pavement and rolled under a parked car. The dog was apparently dead when it hit the ground and the men were laughing, Lewis said.

Crawford said the accusations were false but declined further comment.

HOW IS THIS FUN?!!!

If the dog died before it hit the ground, it couldn't have had too bad a time of it. And if it was 17 years old it was well on its way to some debilitating and painful disease. Think of it as a mercy killing.

great, we'll probably see animal punting websites now.

how is that fun?
i think micheal moores bowling for columbine described many of the reasons its ok to be so cruel in america.

plus with our president killing thousands on false pretenses id say we're pretty lacking in positive role models right now, how much it makes a difference is argueable methinks, but it makes a difference, just ask the folks that argued the case when clinton made his stains.

At least all of the people the president's men are killing said they want to kill us first.

oh yea, all 8 to 10thousand civilians and an unnamed number of soldiers many who were 'drafted' by saddam

So, this guy kicking a puppy( something that has been the subject of a lot of sick jokes for some time) is some how the fault of the current President.

Do you type this shit with a straight face?

From what I've read, most of the civilians grow up wanting to kill Americans too. It's just a matter of whether they were actively trying to at the time.

"A fantic is someone who can't change his mind and won't change the subject"- Winston Churchill

Seriously, you want to jack a thread about some guy punting a ratdog to remind us you don't like GWB. As if you aren't filling out enough stereotypes.

When it rains, do you blame the President?

"Damn, I am coming down with the flu. DAMN YOU , GEORGE W BUSH!"

"My car has a flat tire. DAMN YOU, GEORGE W BUSH!"

"It looks like rain today. DAMN YOU, GEORGE W BUSH!"

I hope this isn't how you spend your day.

Incidentally, it was a little old dog, not a puppy.

And I think someone needs to punt one ranxer's way so he can have some humor in his life.

How does a thread about some cruel asshole kicking a dog turn into something political? FUCK YOU.

Because you have people on this board who will say anything if it somehow insults Bush.

no political rantings in the political forum eh?

do you remember when bush was selected and people were making the jokes about alfred e bush?
http://www.etrend.ch/fundgrube/bilder/alfred_e_bush.JPG

that's about the time i started saying, damn this guy's going to be the worlds greatest simpleton enabler of the 21st century.. i think its true that intelligent discussion as well as action have taken a back seat to posturing and incoherent logic.. mine included.. my new hobby of desparation is bashing bush because i'm just plain against democracy by murder(and many other things this regime is doing)

thanks for inciting me to further bring politics in this thread, but i still think bush is to blame for an increase in cruelty.. NOT THE WEATHER.. not my Flat tire.. sheesh, even your arguements have gotten weaker with gwb in office

thanks for inciting me to further bring politics in this thread, but i still think bush is to blame for an increase in cruelty.

And you accuse Bush of being an enabler? You are making excuses for this guy by blaming someone else. Are you being a hypocrite or do you just have an extreme sense of irony?

You do realize making jokes about punting small annoying jokes have been around a long time, right? Maxim magazine, Saturday Night Live and Married with Children have all made jokes about this well before 2000. Kids have been pulling the wings off of insects since the dawn of time. You never knew one of those kids that fed baking soda to sparrows when you were growing up?

How empty can one's life be if he has to dedicate himself to hating someone he has never even met?

i'm not excusing the guy, i think my concerns about the precidents the administration is setting are valid, maybe linking it to this was a little silly. could be the flouride kicking in.

oh and i don't have much hatred for anything but i do consider it everyones responsibility to attempt to stop policies and practices that lead to more cruelty.

... and a cap ... A doggie-cam and a little red cape ... but no doggy tights, though ... That's just cruel.

The cape only works when you use the doggy-pult. Like the catapult, but for doggies.

Most known serial killers are said to have been animal abusers and/or killers in the early part of their lives. :(
