I just rented the one from the 1960s. It was a sad movie that had a good story and i might have to go see the new one even though it looks like crap. Its a good thing i can get into most films for free.

Gives walk lightly and carry a big stick a new meaning.

The original Walking Tall (1973) is so much better.

Do they change his name in the new one or is he still Bufford Pusser?

He's called Chris-something in this one.

See, now, I think that's just wrong. The actual guy the movies are based on was named Bufford Pusser, and I think he was played in the original movies by the wonderful Joe Don Baker.

If you can be played by Joe Don Baker and named Bufford Pusser, and you still walk tall, you are a tall walkinging guy.

THAT is the point this movie should be making.

No apsersions cast upon the Rock. I personally think his chracter could be named Bufford Pusser and he would STILL walk tall.
