We've been together 6 yrs., but we've taken very different roads in life. He basically went directly into the job market, works a 9-5 and has all kinds of free time to do stuff, whereas I went to college and am now completing law school. So we seem to have less and less in common as time goes on. we both met each other when we were 18 so we had alot in common back then. :/

I'm assuming you mean in repect to your lifestyles though, which would still suggest that personality wise you don't have alot in common, rather your lifes were both synced well back then.

There is a big difference between being able to do stuff together and wanting to do stuff together.

But seeing that you've known eachother for 6 years I no longer feel that I can offer you any real advice on this. As the longest relationship I've ever had was an impresive 2 months.
