So I am experimenting with color; practicing, and trying to get somewhat good using it, while working with a handicap.
This drawing was pretty much accidental. I was chatting with my sister just a few days ago, and she asked me to draw something for her. I happily obligied of course, but not getting a request I was left to just let my pen wander and eventually durned developing picture into a bird-biker of some sort.

It took close to 30 minutes to draw, and about 2 1/2 hours to color. Towards the end, when I was about 75% done, I started to get bored, so I rushed the end in order to finish it before I lost complete interest in the work.
But, I actually got better at coloring during the time I was coloring, so it is hard to tell the difference between where I was hurrying along, and where I was still green. I am satisfied with it.

Used Photoshop. Used only the paintbrush and eraser tools to preserve a traditional look.

I think it's excellent :) The color in it is amazing. I like the detail in the shirt and the burning hair.

I thought it was self explanatory.

"I'm still waiting for my Pirate Ninja"

That indicates I am waiting, perhaps for a drawing? What type of drawing is he waiting for? Perhaps a Pirate Ninja? Well, we could go out on a branch and guess that Supa had at one point said he will draw a Pirate Ninja for David.
NO WAY!!! NO one would get that inside reference, not in a billion trillion years!!!

Maybe you can catch this one.

"I live under the Gym."

Now, if you can work this one out, I'll be impressed.

blah blah i'm stupid

The point is that this PIRATE NINJA is something (I'm assuming) that you talked about in your actual non-message board lives (you guys know each other IRL or IN REAL LIFE, correct?) If this is something that you talked about on the boards then I misspoke and I'm sorry.

I guess my point is that it annoys me when somebody brings their little buddy to a message board and they engage in little private conversations (usually initiated by the buddy) that either is something nobody else understands, something nobody else cares about, or just something thats none of anybody else's fucking business. Loads of people do it; Rez did (and sometimes still does do) it with Hobo Renee, Rainbow Brite did it with Trigger (Hey don't forget we have band practice tommorow PS WE ARE IN A BAND GUYS), and even I once brought a friend to the board who would occasionally do exactly what I described, and I'd usually yell at him for it.

In this case, did you REALLY need to remind Supafly of this project ON THIS MESSAGE BOARD, or were you bringing it up because you wanted everybody to know that Supafly was making something for you?

Also the idea of a PIRATE NINJA is very homosexual. And also I guess I just don't like you very much. :lol

Yeah, I hate the inside shit, it's like me saying "Hey Brandon(ProfessorCool) remember that time at the fair :lol"

then he would say "Shutup Mark, I don't want to talk about that, the clown and the tub of Jell-o scared my childhood forever."

PS: Oh and Supa, that's a nice drawing and all but the pirate has a capn crunch hat, and Capn Crunch is not a pirate, he's a sea captain.

You inked and scanned it first, right? Cause if not, that's some impressive lines.

There's a patch you should rough up a bit at the bottom, the airbrush is very visible and kind of dents the overall impression if you notice it. Because you've done a good job emulating the effects of real tools otherwise, I especially like the way it looks like you've painted with a thick, though not really all that opaque, yellow paint on the beak.

I'm looking at it on a TFT screen right now, though, so I don't know what it looks like on a CRT.

I don't own a scanner. Computer generated this is.
Thanks for reminding me about the bottom. See, I did the base background color with a brush with feathered edges, and I didn't draw entirely past the bottom in this one.

And mister Perfecto: I guess I don't know what a pirate ninja looks like. :overusedlaughemoticon
