in britian all we have are 'slush puppies' (now made with synthedic puppies) which are basicaly the same idea, but they are make behind the counter. plus hey are that expensive you would need to steal some sweets to make it work the money.

The only thing in michigan EVER (metro detroit area/suburbs) was and still is 7-ELEVEN SLURPEES. thats it, thats all you get. unless you were at K-mart, then you could have a "frozen Coke" all this talk of "slush puppie's" or even "icee's" were denied us.

Esuohlim

Frozen cokes are Icee's >:

Alive
Apr 29th, 2004, 09:08 PM
But k-mart never had the "icee" branded cup, it was always in that white k-mart cup with that dome lid. but i guess i stand corected to an extent since you are a "vet"....

Are you reffering to a snow cone? or is that a southern term "slush puppie"? snow cone ive had ex-lax, or a "slush" but the term you are referring to "slush puppie" has not been branded on a cup or in advertisement in detroit since i can remember, haas.

Bennett
Apr 30th, 2004, 02:47 PM
Yes, "slush puppie" is obviously a southern term, since I believe they originated in the U.K., and all the previous posters have mentioned having one in the southern states: i.e. Wisconsin, Idaho, New York :/

I think they are closer to a Mr. Mistee (or whatever the hell they call them) at D.Q. than a snow cone, slurpee or Icee

and just because you don't remember them doesn't mean they were never there >:

is it the same gag where you take a normal slurpee cup for 90 cents or whatever and fill it up with the expensive 3 dollar cappichino slushy shit then just say its coke slurpee at the counter?

ANYWAY, BACK ON TOPIC :(

Mesobe, it refers to a Minimock that I'm too lazy to find the URL to, but it's about putting items you want to get into the cup, fill it with Slurpee, and walk out with said items without paying. :(

I used to do it when i was younger. Once managed a bottle of Gatorade in a Mega Slurpee. If you have those candy cup things at k-mart you could get mars bars etc into them too.

no, but what we do out here is called "Swamp" You use a 7-eleven Slurpee, and mix all the flavors together. It is quite good. Tastes like Jello, and tastes better with ice cream.
