Well not exactly, but thats the plan. I will use the designs for the Nintendo computer to make what i like to call the "MES" or MAME Entertainment System. It will bascilly be the nintendo computer found here http://www.junkmachine.com/nintendo/.

My Dream stats will be such...

128-256 ram
Pentium 3-4
20-40 gig hd
4 controllers
Windows XP (just because)
DVD-R
Video Card with video out
Broadband connection

I dont know a lot about computers. I want a computer that can play emulators but isn't to expensive. It has to play emulators, support all the major Instant Messengers, be able to play DVD's and be able to rip CD's. If you see anything in those stats that could be swaped out to make it run better or cheaper go ahead and tell me.

I figure about 500-1000 bucks. I will also want to give it a custom paint job.

you need to go with an itx board if you have any prayer of fitting everything inside.

my brother and I were going to make one but I decided it would cost way too much because to keep it from overheating (at fit too) you pretty much have to laptop parts. :(

I dont see any problem with Laptop parts. My laptop can run MAME fine, until i get on the net, then its laggy, but thats because of my connection. Hence the broadband modem on the MES.

i didnt say there would be a problem with laptop parts, i just said it would be more expensive than if you could use regular parts.
