Pay attention, doofus. It's from Newsmax, and that's even worse.

Maybe you should have posted a link to the text of the resolution, Ronnie. You know, so that we could see everything that's in that resolution, and weigh it objectively, rather than rely on the half-assed journalism of a sub-toilet paper rag like Newsmax.

mburbank
May 7th, 2004, 09:28 AM
Wait a sec, are you saying that Newsmax only posted a paraphrased version of the resolution? And that the story doesn't even ASK why people voted the way they did? Why... that would mean that Newsmax wasn't even journalism! And that it's readers had all the intlellectul curiosity and actual desire to be informed of a tree stump!

Why are they wasting time voting for this tripe anyway, when we have war criminals in office?

That democrats generally don't support the troops.

Want another example?

How about the time they tried to discount military absentee ballots after the 2000 election....

punkgrrrlie10
May 9th, 2004, 11:04 PM
I find your use of the word "generally" a bit misleading.

Voting "yes" were 151 Democrats, 213 Republicans and one independent.

Voting "no" were 49 Democrats and one independent

I know I haven't taken math since I started law school but isn't 151 well over a majority of democrats? Is 49 less than 1/3 of the dems in the House?

sspadowsky

It's an AP story you morons. It just happens to be on the Newsmax website.

Then qoute the AP, dumbass. You know no one on here will take Nesmax sereiously. It doesn't make the journalism any less shallow.

That democrats generally don't support the troops.

Want another example?

How about the time they tried to discount military absentee ballots after the 2000 election....

Want another example, jerky? How about tthe fact that Bush is the guy who moved to cut their endangerment pay and their benefits? You want to talk about who is fucking over the troops? Look no further than our president. This is the same guy who praised the troops during his GI-Joe landing, right at the same time he was moving to cut the aforementioned benefits. Way to piss down the backs of the troops while telling them it's raining. Democrats, my ass. Start reading the real news instead of Rush's site, Raygun.

Punkgrrrlie summed up the rest of the argument quite well. You swallow Republican propaganda jizz better than a porn star, Ronnie. Maybe there's a future for you yet.

Nalds, are you the Joeseph Goebels of I-mockery or just a stupid sucker eager to latch on to and promulgate any old reactionary idea that pops into your noggin?

I support the troops by wanting to bring them home. I can't think of anything more supportive. My Godkids father is over there right now. suppprt him by hoping he doesn't die and he seems a lot less likely to die here at home than over there.

You confuse supporting this war, which I don't, with supporting these troops, which I do.

America is what's called a pluralistic society, but then I know you hte what America stands for, so it comes as no suprise that you find your deffinition of supporting the troops the only satisfactory one. How old are you? You could be supprting them with your physical presence, couldn't you?

Ronnie Raygun

How many on the right went over to Vietnam and boosted the moral of our enemy?

How many on the right ever spit on our soldiers in airports and called them baby killers?

When soldiers die in Iraq, who benefits?

Terrorists and democrats.

If Usama is found, who does it hurt?

Terrorists and democrats.

If Bush is voted out of office, who wins?

Terrorists and democrats.

mburbank
May 10th, 2004, 06:57 PM
Two, two, two mints in one!

49 out of 151 is a vast majority!

Find me one, just one, one single CONTEMPORARY account of a vet being spit on. As in reported at the time.

I think when we invaded Iraq we boosted the hell out of Usama's Moral. Recruitment in Al Quaeda certainly went up. Who would it hurt of we had avoided invading Iraq? Usama.

When you say Democrats 'benefit' from soldiers deaths, you reveal serious moral failings in yourself. It shows a marked lack of empathy and compassion, and the reduction of mortal stakes to politics. It is a very, very unchristian attitude. Remove the beam from your own eye before attending to the motes in others.

Your view that Bush loosing would be terrorist victory reveals a marked anti american streak. Should we all vote for Bush regrdless of what we think becuase of the terrorists? Or are we still a free country, one man one vote. If I voted for Bush because of the terrorists, then they have indeed won. I hate bush for a whole host of reasons that have to do with my politics and my morality. To vote for him under those circumstances would be a betrayal of the franchise.

Who wins when people become so reactionary they no longer recognize the validity of a two party sytem and reuce everything to 'with us or against us'? Neocons and terrorists. Stop staring into the abyss, naldo. You are becoming one.

Defend this claim, or never speak on it again. Quantify it. Explain to us how terrorists prefer Kerry over Bush. Explain to us how the terrorists would fear a president who polarizes the rest of the world from America, who creates breeding pools for terrorism by destabilizing Iraq, etc.

Terrorists militias like the G.S.P.C. are gathering weapons in North Africa, and Arab mercs. are commiting acts of genocide in Sudan, not to mention the remaining instability in Afghanistan, the hostilities between us and N. Korea. We snub our friends in Europe and make new friends with dictators in Libya and Pakistan.

PLEASE, explain to me how the terrorists would prefer a Western world united instead of this divided one under President Bush......

Wow. It's like the Lincoln/Douglass debate. No wait, it's more like the Lincoln/Log debate.

"You know terrorists want Bush to lose. Are you going to help their cause? Yes or no?"

The only way you could know that is if you're a terrorist. I think you're wrong. I think they love W. He's one man recruiting poster for terrorism. But I believe you think you're right. I think Kerry would do a much better job fighting terrorism than Bush would, so regardless of what the terrorists want, it's one of the many reasons I intend to vote for him. See, I like to decide things like that on my own. But you go ahead and let what you think terrorists want determine who you vote for.

You know Bush wants to destroy the constitution. Are you going to help his cause? yes or no?

Al Qaeda Bombers Endorse Bush
Terrorists Thank Allah For America's 'Holy Idiot'
POSTED: 11:19 a.m. EST March 18, 2004

CAIRO, Egypt -- An Islamic militant group claiming responsibility for the train bombings in Spain endorsed a second term for President George W. Bush yesterday, praising his "idiocy and religious fanaticism," which the group said is helping to "wake up" the Islamic world.

In the statement, the group praised Allah for raising up the perfect leader to advance their cause, citing direct and plenary inspiration in Bush's calling the War on Terror a "crusade," turning the stomach of the entire world with constant lying and aggression, and placing thousands of U.S. soldiers in hopeless battle positions in the heart of the Middle East.

"Truly we are blessed," said Mullah Omar from his mountain hideout in Afghanistan. "Never in our wildest imaginings could we have hoped for a gift more precious than Bush. He is the poster boy of our international movement." Even many Western analysts say that Bush's "Operation Sitting Duck" in Iraq is providing cheap and accessible apprenticeships for aspiring terrorists intending to graduate to targets inside the U.S. after getting some local experience under their belt.

Islamic recruiters from Cairo to Western China say the phone has been ringing off the wall since Bush launched his world domination crusade. "I get no peace," complained a Moroccan recruiter. "All day and far into the night it's the same thing, one desperate voice after another begging to be allowed to help expel 'The Mother of all Imbeciles.'" "I barely get a chance to see my family anymore."

Nevertheless, some recruiters are daring to speculate that Bush's penchant for self-destruction may eventually make Al Qaeda terror obsolete. "It's not hard to foresee a situation where Bush economic policies will destroy the U.S. outright without the aid of a single terrorist bombing," said Diaa Rashwan of the Institute For Suicide Analysis in Islamabad. "At that point blowing up individual targets in a collapsing infrastructure won't make much sense."

Western terror experts are expressing concern over increasing perceptions of Bush as the world's number one terrorist even among non-Muslims. According to a recent Pew poll 94% of the world's non-Muslim population rates Bush more destructive than the H-bomb. "At least with the H-bomb, there is a way to dismantle it," said one respondent. "But with Bush, the scale of disaster just keeps widening. There's no end to it."

Al Qaeda's endorsement of Bush raises the intriguing possibility of its sleeper cells in the U.S. campaigning for his election. With lots of ready cash the organization may find that leafleting for the GOP is the most cost-effective way to bring down the United States. Apparently many Al Qaeda recruits are beginning to feel that the self-hatred of the Republicans is more powerful than the purest streams of anti-American loathing on their part. Since very few self-respecting terrorists are prepared to admit they have superiors in the hatred department, this type of conclusion tends to be faced only gradually.

"It's a psychological barrier, a kind of denial mechanism," says Psychiatrist John Blodgett at Johns Hopkins University. "Terrorists pride themselves on belonging to the most destructive and fearsome group in the world. But this Bush gang is a nihilist's wet dream. No one really compares to them in the power of their malevolence. Hard as it is to face, more and more Al Qaeda members are reluctantly beginning to admit it."

The obvious policy conclusion has been stated in the latest and shortest video ever from Osama Bin Laden. "Four more years!"

"I don't have to support it because it's common sense and everyone already knows it. "

You don't mean everyone, you mean the VAST MAJORITY.

Because I don't know it, and without me, it isn't everyone. I think a lot of people don't know it. I think they don't know it because it's wrong. No one has done the kind of recruiting job for Al Quaeda W. has.

You may disagree with me. That's fine, in fact I'd be frightened if you didn't. You may even think that means I have no 'common sense'. But for you to take an idea you believe and simply state that 'everyone already knows it' is hubris. It would take more than being Psychic. You'd have to be omnitient.

If you KNOW all these self evident truths, and you don't have to discuss or support them because they are already known to be true, why come here? I put it to you tht you enjoy being a prick, you enjoy demonstrating to yourself that we'll do all the nasty, evil, things you think we will. I put it to you that enjoyment like that is a very ugly, unchristian thing. I know we've been here before, but don't you think Jesus would encourage you to examine this aspect of yourself?

"70% of their top leadership"
-That's an interesting statitic. Who came up with it, and how do they know the percentage of leadership of a secret society who's leader they can't find is dead?

I bet their right though, which means the thirty percent they have left blew a hole in Spain. Lucky for all of us we've killed the other %70.

But you know, when the VAST MAJORITY knows something then EVERYONE knows, which makes it a truth and not something you need to ever think about again, which is lucky, because then you can just do what your told without the bother of thinking. See? Slavery is Freedom. Orwell was even more psychic than you, naldo.
