my roommate's dog likes the taste of electricity. so it likes to chew on cordes. last nights target was my game cube controller. he chewed it down to the copper. my super cool roomate was nice e-nuf to replace it before i got home from work, witch kicks ass. BUT, i kinda need another controller for ssbm, cause my joystick that i bought for cvs2 dosn't use the analog. i sure i lost you by now so i'll cut to the chase.

can a chewed gamecube contoller cord be fixed?

when i pluged it in to the gc, and turned it on, the gc "acts" like its getting no power. i can here the fans come on and the disk spinning, but no light, and nothing pops up on the screen. this only happens when i plug in the chewed contoller, so i cant even tell just how fucked the controller is. (BTW, does this happen with ps2 and xbox as well?)

anybody know what to do? can i be fixed?

Have you tried going to Gamecube's ''help support''? Or asking a very geeky video game nerd?

If it's just wires that were chewed, you should be able to cut the cable and splice the wires together in the same order. Just solder them together and wrap each individual connection in electrical tape, then tape the entire thing together.

It will look ugly, but at least it should work (unless you cross the wires).
