Both shows did have their moments, and some really badass monsters. Good mix of action, storytelling, and humor. Though things did kind of start getting a little too silly and soap opera-ish. But generally, they were good shows.

And Eliza Dushku and Juliet Landau are fucking hot.

I guess I really have to watch this from the beginning to really enjoy it. I've only seen episodes here and there. I think it's dumb that Angel goes into vampire mode by scrunching up his face.

I watched the entire first season on TV and was not impressed. It might have been a slow starter and if it was I am not judging it fairly. But I don't think that is the case.
