I was at walmart the other day shopping for essentials (tp, shampoo, deoderant, cheap lava lamps) and I wandered into the electronics aisle to look at dvds. Lo and behold, I found some portable black and white 4 inch TVs. For twenty bucks! I grabbed one since I had always wished to own one since I was a little kid, except the most affordable model was at radio shack was over 100 bucks at the time. It was great, I had it follow me everywhere for a day. In bed, in the washroom, kitchen, garage, park, everywhere. I don't really watch alot of TV, I just wanted to see what it was like having access to one at all times. Upon rumaging further into the box it came in I found it came with a car adapter. Holy shit! I thought. Genius! That night I had to pick up my buddy after work as I usually do, since we both get off the clock at similar hours. He's usually an asshat and keeps me waiting, but that night he was unsettled to find me declined in the driver seat, with the said TV on dash, watching Judge Judy.

Anyhow, after further inspection of the unit I found it had A/V inputs and a switch labled AV/TV. I tested it with my Xbox and found it work to a tee.

My brilliant master plan: Go to garage sale and by a used nintendo for a few bucks. Get another car adapter to power nintendo unit. Grab a roll of duct tape and fasten the TV to the top of nintendo. Get a 1-to-2 car plug dealie so I can power both at the same time. Result: A official low class hill billy portable game unit! Fucking A! Screw you traffic, trains, breaks at work, picking people up, or any other conceivable thing that could cause me to be stuck in the car. Next time this happens, I'm whipping out my hick game boy and playing some fucking duck hunt!

Pictures to follow :(

I'm pretty sure the Game Boy Advance SP does the exact same thing, costs less, and is in color.

Amazing.

how does it cost less than a 20 dollar TV, a couple 5 dollar accessories and a bunch of shit he already has or could pick up for 5 bucks at a garage sale?

share with me your cheap ass gba sp hookup, so i can buy them for my friends.

He saw the "100" and didn't see the "twenty." Spelling shit out is overrated.

Actually, that's not the reason. I wasn't aware the price for the items needed to hookup the Nintendo to the TV. If it's only a few bucks, fine.

Kinda depends on if the TV has RCA or RF hookups... I'm guessing it's RCA, so an old NES wouldn't be the way to go... old SNES would be better.

Best would be an old laptop, a bunch of emulation software, and a few cds worth of ROMs :D

Still, I wouldn't trade my SP for either :P
