My best friend bought me a stop-smoking hypnosis session for my birthday and I did it yesterday. It was strange and normal at the same time....I still dont know if I actually was hypnotised, but the guy made lots of really cool (and thoroughly unpleasant) analogies about smoking that have put me off big time even if nothing else has (cant be arsed to go into it here...it involved hospitals, envelopes, and all my friends). The only part where I did feel hypnotised was when he told me I couldnt open my eyes, and it was true. I had to stop myself from laughing at a couple of things he said later on though, which makes me think I wasnt 'under'.We actually just talked about smoking and why I smoke for about an hour and a half. That was more therapeutic than the hypno methinks. It was quite confessional in a way.Lets hope it works. so far so good...

No Sam! Those tapes are a joke! You'll soon find yourself at the mercy of an electrical wall-outlet rapefest. He's putting these thoughts into your head. :(

Hypnotism works if you want it to work. I don't know about how it would work with a tape, but if the premise remains largely the same as with a person and the subject is willing then I don't see why it wouldn't.

A regular lung is just as disgusting, only not as depressed.

Pungent Excruciation
Sanguinary disinterment
Necrobiotic rash
Gnawing, throbbing anguish
The gullet is now mashed
Pungent excruciation
Flesh mummified by lice
Amputated contusion
Help yourself to a slice...
Contamination...
Strangulation...
Mutilation...
Gangrenous abscesses
Paralysis sets in
More carnage and bloodshed
And the reek of molten skin
Frenzied detruncation
Dispeptic, charred and black
Terminal putrescence
Psychotics carve and hack
Osteoporous enzymes release deadly secretions
As the clotted parasites devour the excretion
Emanation, suppuration - blood starts to gush
My nocturnal dysentry is unleashed on this mush

[Solo2: Morbid Ferocity]

I'd always wondered about using hypnosis to combat behavioral and lifestyle issues I have (drinking to relieve anxiety, etc.) I'd love to give it a go - I'd prefer if it was covered by my insurance, but to be honest, I'd pay out of pocket for a chance that it might do me even a little bit of good.
Too bad there are no opitions here in WS, NC.
