I've only told a few people. I can't tell everyone, or it spoils the surprise. :(

Bomberman 64 had so much promise, but it was just plagued with a horrid, HORRID camera.

Can anyone think of a game series that takes place in a city that is either destroyed, or gets destroyed?
Whoreable suggested Rampage, but I don't think I can use that. :(

King of the Monsters has city destruction.
So do Godzilla games.
The Unseen

the beginning of resident evil 2 is all destroyed, same with SNES contra
Skulhedface
Mar 6th, 2003, 06:04 PM
Final Fantasy VI (the second half)
Final Fantasy X (Zanarkand)
Contra 3, agreed
Castlevania Dracula X (if you want to count a village on fire)
Zombies Ate My Neighbors (if you count destroying some of the buildings yourself, be it with a bazooka or Monster potion)
X-Men Vs. Street Fighter (the stage where the street breaks and yuo end up in the sewer. I believe there is a level similar to this in X-Men: CotA where the street collapses and you land on a boat)
Secret Of Evermore (this is a stretch, but if you count the other castle in the medieval world)
Final Fantasy VII (Mideel)
Alright, I'll admit, I'm being pretty liberal with "destroyed cities" here, but this is what I came up with. Hope it helps.

Carmageddon 3 takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. You could argue that cities get destroyed by maniacs driving ridiculous vehicles in the other two.

If I was gonna go with a car game like that, I'd go with Twisted Metal.
Anyway, to give a little more information, I'm working on what will hopefully become a Minimock (Rog owes me a favor after I supplied him with that Catwoman picture). So part of the problem is, I need to think of popular games series that translate well into shitty photoshopped images.

Then you can't go wrong with the Fallout series. Simply graphics, ruined towns, it's got everything.

That is true. I can't agree with you more, Rock.

See, I wish I could say what I'm doing. But that would ruin the surprise. In other words, this thread didn't really go as planned, becuase you people can't give me the answers I'm looking for, because I can't tell you what you'd need to know. :/
Thanks for the help, though. I appreciate it.

-Gauntlet
-Golden Axe
-Mortal Kombat
-Battletoads
-Double Dragon
Shit, thats all I can really think of for semi popular games.
Spectre X

Duke Nukem 3D takes place in something of a post-apocalyptic town. as far as other post-apocalyptic games...Mortal Kombat 3 has some scenario's that qualify as post-apocalyptic. like that bridge thing in that city. or the street above that subway thing.

Some of these may have been posted before, but I just can't be arsed to memorize this whole thread:
Bubble Bobble
Ghosts 'n' Goblins/Ghouls 'n' Ghosts
Contra
Bad Dudes
Ninja Gaiden
Blaster Master
Bionic Commando
Kid Icarus
River City Ransom
Kung-Fu
Shadowgate
While I've got an idea about what you're doing, I don't know if you can use any of these.

I was thinking Worms and Castlevania, but I wouldn't be able to get either of those to work. :(
This really sucks. I think I'll have to just forget about this project.

Nah, I'm sure you can pull it off. It's all about the right source files. Git down and google.
