I expect nothing less than for someone to reply "I'm a PERL Girl!" and post some esoteric computer image or something like that. :/

They should make them with a battery pack like those Glade room deoderizers.

Dear Iris, Are you more likely to get eaten by a shark when you are on your period? Thanks,

We got the answer straight from an oceanographer! "It has been recommended that a menstruating woman should abstain from swimming in areas where sharks are nearby in order to minimize the risks of attracting sharks. This assumes, of course, that her flow is somehow getting into the water, and with the options available to women today this may not be the case. But it is possible for sharks to sense these fluids and investigate further. Assume that sharks might do this, and common sense should dictate the rules."

So..no swimming when you are menstruating unless you are using a Tampax tampon! Good luck--Iris

hay thisa tampon website has alot kewl situff for teens!!

no period = FREAKY WRONG HORMONE MESSING WITH NATURE STRANGENESS.

seriously. i had a hard enough time switching to tampons because i was so freaked out about sticking a piece of cardboard stuffed with cotton up there. i would never, ever intentionally take a pill/shot/whatever that would make my period disappear.

could you possibly imagine the state your uterus is in right now?

uck. sorry, but uck.

Why do women get cranky from the period?

da blob
Jun 22nd, 2004, 05:14 PM
actually I think it's in a normal state as I'm not experiencing the hormonal changes that thicken it monthly.

The messing up of the hormones is no worse than with a regular pill, and in fact less as it works on the same principle except with much lower dosage. I agree there probably is a messing up though, but I do not care much.

I never used much tampons cause it hurt me inside and my body "expells" them quite fast (don't laugh please).

edit : Why do women get cranky from the period?

hormones. plus it hurts. and it's tiring loosing some blood.

Because they're bloated.

Because they retain water.

I've been married for 14 years and I don't recall my wife ever saying she was bloated :/

glowbelly
Jun 22nd, 2004, 05:53 PM
that's because she's not a woman :eek

i won't even go on the pill. hormone stuff freaks me out and i don't like to mess with any of it.

fartin, you wanna know why women get pissy on their periods? try sticking a little man with giant hands into your lower abdomen and have him grab your insides and wring them out for 5 days.

Actually, my partner and I were dispatched to an elderly female with a vaginal bleed this past Sunday. When we brought her into the ER, one of my female coworkers slipped a tampon into my pocket and it was pearl! :shocked

My Mom would tell me that I would be too young for this thread.

That is, if I wasn't smoking a cool mint menthol while wearing a stolen, fake moustache and beard.

i've no period atm with the pregnancy and all. but i don't really like tampons at all anyways. i always get freaked out about the whole TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME thingy. oh, and my cramping/bloating has never been very severe.
