started playing a (sort of) RPG with my kids. it is called Stickguy and i dont have a link to the rules but it is pretty simple to play.

1. you draw a stickguy

2. you give the stickguy a career, and draw an appropriate design onto your stick man (a bussiness man would have a briefcase, a beauty queen a crown, etc.)

3. each player rolls the dice and are awarded experience points for the amount shown on dice.

4. a game master picks a story, adventure, whatever you call it. the characters fight mosters and such by rolling a six sided dice. each monster has a number you have to roll to have a successfull attack, you then roll again to determine damage. players who are hurt by the monsters lose 1 experience point.

5. experience can be used to make a dice roll successfull (if you need three, and roll a two, then you can use your experience point to make up the difference).

6. you can only have four objects at a time, and you can only find items appropriate to the setting (a crow bar at a consruction site, a gun on a dead cop, etc.)

7. the game master decides what has to be rolled to get some items (if he thinks an item is especiall useful, or to be a dick), and decides how useful the object is in combat.

otherwise there are no real rules, just that you really have to act out the little scenes and stuff. the kids an i agreed that this game is one of those retarded family things that would never be really fun for anyone but us because anyone else would most likely think us a bunch of huge dorks. we are, but some things are just retarded good fun, and you just have to roll with them.

we had a lot of fun playing, with me taking the game master role. i have pretty much exhusted my imagination for monsters to fight. so i am asking for some help. please create monsters for me.

they can be anything. last night i had flaming pigs and nuclear worms (which would make a great band name). the only things that I really need are a little desription of the monster, and how many points to hit (1 to 6) and how many points to kill (1 - one billion).

also, they don't have to be monsters, just bad guys of any sort.

thank you in advance for all of your wonderful suggestions.

That's what friends and the outside world is for.

But you'd be the one playing games inside and asking for suggestions about it on the internet. :rolleyes

Robot zombies.

Dried and withered corpses with glowing eyes and assorted servomotors and big bolts sticking out of them. Slow, stupid and pretty fragile. They're strong however. Thing is, they claw at you and try to break your junk. They can't hit you seeing as they're too slow to move their hands fast enough.

Giant serpents.

Gigantic monsters with short, stubby clawed arms and a head like that of a more angular or jagged crocodile. They're gigantic in the sense that they're really, really, really long, and coil around stuff. They're green and scaley.

Giant Piranhas.

Take a guess.

Monoliths.

Big slabs of stone that fall over. The break when they fall though, so all you have to do is dodge them. Big and grey.

I played that game with a friend of mine at summer camp. We also would make up maps on the spot for places to explore.

I gots some more.

Misfit Toys.

Hideous sentient piles of discarded toys. They're big globs of entertainment hardware stuck together in order to form some kind of spider-y, humanoid or completely alien shapes.

Crazy Lumberjacks.

Lumberjacks. Who are also crazy.

Mutated Crabs.

Crabs that have been mutated by toxins in the water. They're usually very large and have extra limbs.

nancy hates me? :(

monsters:

matted dingleberries - they stink and the only way they can be killed is with scissors. if you inhale around them you lose .5 points. they can be killed by rolling a 4, as long as you have scissors.

inky tumbleweeds - these are furballs from long haired kitties. they roll around and collect everything they touch. some are big and some are small. they can be killed with fire or a comb by rolling a 2. if you touch one, you are stuck in the tumbleweed until someone else can get you out.

i can't think of any more cause i'm hungry :(

Man, the inky tumbleweeds idea is better than all of mine combined. :(

I'm going to go and cry now.
