i went to the first public rally that kerry and edwards held together in cleveland, ohio today. i don't know for sure, but i think about 10,000 people showed up.

i am now in love with john edwards, if only for his dreamy southern accent.

mrs heinz-kerry has a tone in her voice that makes me want her to read me bed time stories.

all-in-all it was a good experience for me. my old boss who is super duper anti bush yelled at some yahoo with a anti-abortion sign. he asked him 'what would jesus bomb' because the poster of a mutilated fetus had jesus's name plastered all over it. the guy spouted off something about just wars and the old testament. i looked at him and said, 'jesus wasn't in the old testament.' the end for him. what really upset me is the 4-year old boy who was standing in line in front of us. he was nearly in tears when he saw that poster. disgusting people. >:

kerry, edwards and both of the mrs addressed the crowd and everyone was in really good spirits. this whole thing has made me excited about the upcoming election again. i also volunteered to register people to vote.

good times. :)

Had that guy done his research, he would have known that the process of Jus ad Bellum and Jus in Bello were actually developed by Augustine and Aquinas long after the death of Christ. :/

People like that piss me off (the anti-abortion guy, mind you, not you or your old boss). I wish I could have seen it. Cleveland is only about an hour away from me, so I really had no excuse not to (aside from lack of transportation). I hope he comes back to Youngstown so I don't even have to leave town to see him.

it was gross.

while my personal view on abortion leans towards the conservative side, i believe in a woman's right to choose and realize that it's not my right to tell some gal who has gotten knocked up that she has to take on the responsibility of having a child.
