My spring break starts a week from tomorrow, and the only thing I'll be doing is getting my wisdom teeth pulled. All four of them. At once. >:

And don't start in with this "oooooh, it isn't that bad!" bullshit because that's the only thing people have told me for weeks. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the nitrus >:

no they pull em for free. the painkillers you test are the ones afterwards. :/ my friend got 250 or something for his...but he coulda got alot more if he stayed. he said it sucked cause he got the placebo but he also got to watch movies during it...

Bobo, when I got mine pulled they wern't out yet. All I remember is waking up crying/laughing with sopping, bloody gauze in my mouth. Salty, sopping, bloody gauze. Blood tastes bad. Oh, and I couldn't eat anything good for 3-4 days. Have fun!

Yeah, but mine are already all developed and shit. They've been out for at least three years. The only reason I'm getting them pulled is because they're decaying (:lol) And I'm not getting a general anesthetic, I'm just getting nitrus and novacaine.

My bottom left wisdom tooth is partially in and it hurts like a bitch. It rubs on the inside of my cheek causing almost never-ending canker sores. I really want to get my wisdom teeth out just because they hurt like hell.

On a side note, I'm making a college tour/ indie rock mecca to the Northwest. Good times.

I'm not worried about it hurting (unless it dry sockets, which as previously stated, will happen with my luck). I've had so many cavities filled that dental surgery can't hurt me anymore.

I had an absessed tooth a few years ago. That means there was a big pocket of pus forming inside it. It was the very front tooth and it was the worst pain ever. The worst was getting the novacaine shot. Unless any of you have had a novacaine shot into your front tooth, I'm pretty sure I know pain more than any of you fuckers >:

Before injecting the novacaine, my dentist swabs the gum area twice with a numbing agent, probably the same one used in Oragel.

I don't get how an injection in the front could hurt if you did that.

I know it really doesn't make any sense, and I was in tremendous pain when this was explained to me, but anyway, there's less gum tissue or muscles or something around the front teeth -- all that's really there is bone and nerve. When you inject novacaine in the back of the mouth, you're injecting it in the gums, or muscle, or whatever the fuck that is. But in the front, you inject it directly into the roots, and it hurts like fuck.

Wait, I don't know how much it hurts in general other than it hurts more to get novacaine shots in the front. But if they inject novacaine directly into a big ball of pus, it hurts like hell. :(

After that, getting novacaine shots doesn't hurt at all. And I would almost guarentee I've had more fillings than any of you. I saw the x-ray of my mouth last time I was at the dentist, and it looked like there were far more fillings than there was actual tooth.

The nitrous can be fun if they give you a ton. For me they cranked it up all the way and i lost vison and started seeing sounds, hearing colors and seeing pain. It was very very weird becasue you are fully lucid the entire time but you get really really high.
