Yeah, I'm not sure if Winn Dixie's are all over the nation or what. But they have the best friggin deals and they're a 5 minute walk from our place.

winn dixie is very much a southern thing, that and piggly wiggly, i think. those are the BEST places to shop, you get things almost for free.

Yea RoG, we have Winn Dixies too. Do you have one of those Winn-Dixie cards? They ALWAYS ask for those here, and it's my understanding that it does take a big (but not hugely significant) chunk out of the total. Maybe I should get one if it doesn't cost much.

You still have to apply for them, don't you? I guess a little time filling out a piece of paper would be worth saving assloads of money though.

They give you the card there on the spot. Filling out the form takes a whopping 30 seconds. Same goes for cards from most grocery stores...

I lost my card in my dog's ass. Don't ask how it got there.

jesus, skullboy, i got the cards. and if you're lazier than me, you must be dead fo' shizzle.
i used to clip coupons and check the circulars. (and even then, i don't think i saved that much ever, guys.) now, i just zone in on the sales stickers on the store aisles.

Living in the south DOES help. Especially on gas prices. I was in Pennsylvania for 4 months and the gas prices were 1.50 a gallon on average, and when I got back here, roughly one day later, gas was down to .85 cents a gallon!
Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but the only "Buy One, Get One Free" deals I found at Winn-Dixie yesterday all involve cigarettes, particularly Marlboros, Camels and Dorals. I did however find a motherlode of "Buy One, Get One Half Off Deals".
And Sadie, I'm lazy when I don't have to work. I put all my energy into that. But I'm happy to say that since I made that last post, I am now a card carrying member of the "Save Money At Winn Dixie" club.
What do you guys think about shopping at Wal-Mart though? They have a Super Wal-Mart across the street, the prices ARE cheap, but then again, this IS Wal-Mart...

I don't have any Winn Dixie's around here. But there is a store called Pathmark near Blockbuster. There is also a cheap ass store that imports shittly goods and batteries from China. Everything there falls apart.
