Now hear me out. It kind of suffers from a similar problem that Sports Night had: It's too good to be funny. In Sports Night's case, it was very drama based with the ocassional sharp wit, so it wasn't "ha ha" funny. It was clever and amusing, but it's hard to laugh when they throw in the drama about killing a mother deer or having deaf family members. Not to say the show was good for entertainment purposes.

Now with Crossballs, the problem is that they're TRYING to make jokes out of issues that are already jokes to begin with. And instead of making a mockery of the issue, they're actually making valid points in their instigating comments. So instead of finding the show funny, I just get mad because they're hitting everything right on the fucking nose, and it makes me realize how much stupidity exists in the world.

And when they DO make a mockery of an issue, it's so over the top that I can't believe the real experts don't catch on.

So yeah. I don't like the show. I'd rather stick with the stuttering, bombing, interrupted, lost-in-thought humor of Tough Crowd when it comes to debate shows.

based on the first two weeks of the show that I got to watch, one out of three shows are REALLY great and funny.

I like Crossballs, but Phil Hendrie is funnier.

Yeah, but Sports Night was horrible.

I saw 2 episodes and I thought both were good enough to watch over I love the 90's.

I think it's funny because some of the actors become completely radicalist but for some reason it doesn't seem out of the realm of feasability.
