finally got around to downloa- i mean, previewing their new album, and despite the song titles sounding like i could be in for some death metal, it more of the same from the indie rockers with the "i'm a sloooow roooobot going doooown the riverrrrr" vocals and joy division references.

except it's pretty much without the poppy/catchyhooks of the last one. some are thinking that's alright, some are pissed with it.

for those who know them, i think that, barring expectations, it's a little more than a good record, but far below "turn on the bright lights"

surprised not to see it talked about here yet (on the first page anyway), but this forum has always been wierd about music...

this is the worst album i've heard in it's entirety all year. i thought the first album was decent, but this is total shit!

what about !!!, oh mitch? :P

i will have to defend "next exit" and "not even jail." those two tracks are definately a marked improvement from the first album.

actually, i dont get it mitch, what is there to really hate about it.

i can see how people wouldnt be impressed, would get bored by, or just not like it, but the second worst CD? since you didnt have a similar hate for their first album, you'll have to explain what pisses you off about it
