I teamed up with James Jouni recently for this flash music video. For those of you who haven't heard my song "I Will Beat Pacman", be sure to crank up your speakers because it's a quiet, soothing song. For those of you who have heard it before, I'm sure you'll enjoy this spiffy new visual aid.

Yeah, and back in May 2000 he crowd surfed the length of the venue at a concert I attended. That was a good day.

I was actually going to do a SECRAT Pacman music video over the summer a few years ago to surprise Rog, but I quickly realized it was going to suck the way I was planning it, and let it go.
Now I'm glad, this was a pretty good movie. A few too repetitive animations, but the visualization of the lyrics was nice and I dug the Ren & Stimpy-esque veiny throats at the end :O

Those "Ren & Stimpy" shots were a direct copy off the "Canadian Kilted Yaksmen" episode where the Yak loses his mind near the end. An exact copy down to how the foam falls from his mouth.
I have to admit I don't usually like that guy's animations, but this one went better than usual. It wasn't too bad.

God, reading Newground reviews is depressing. Every 12th one or so, there's someone saying "um well i hope this isnt serius if so get a life!!!" Can I revoke my humanity membership card yet? :(

Haha yeah there's always some stupid kids on Newgrounds that are nothing more than useless sacks of flesh. How's the movie doing on there so far anyway? (I can't see that site from work)
BTW, thanks to any of you who've voted for the movie on there already today. :picklehat

edit: never mind, I guess you found that first review. Maybe it's not that bad, but your faith in the average IQ has got to plummet if you read a few review pages.
Never mind, anyway. As long as it's scoring high.

Yeah but look at the rest of 'em. That's all I was saying. Generally it was well received except for a few bad apples who can't admit that they liked it.

It was cool. Not quite how I imagined it, but very good. It's nice to see the music video with the song. :)

What the hell?
First of all, there is no banana or pretzel moving around the screen. That would be MS. Pac-Man, maybe you can't keep your genders straight. Also PacMan ends on stage 256. The game says stage 0 and just sits there with the opening screen but nothing happens.
This was a cool flash, but you know jack about pac-man.
By the way, Pac-Man actually does end, after level 255. (I don't think there's a big "You Win" screen--it just unceremoniously crashes).
Maybe they don't know that 865 was an exaggeration. :/

Useless factoid accuracy nerds are a dime-a-dozen on the web. You get used to it.
Thanks again for voting on the movie everyone. Looks like we'll get the #1 or #2 spot for the day. Pretty spiffy!

I can not beleive someone would take the time to make such a load of bullshit. This is the biggest piece of crap i have ever seen in my life and i feel that the geek that made this flash needs a chill pil. Think yourself lucky my speakers weren't up high when that retard started screaming. Theres needs to be a WARNING. on this movie saying WARNING: GAY MOVIE WITH OVERLY LOAD RETARD SCREAMING IN THE WORST POSSIBLE WAY! DO NOT WATCH UN LESS YOU ARE AS RETARDED AS THE CREATOR!
cheers
Wow, what a fugger.

It didn't take long for the staff to recognise i-mock I obviously, because Pacman is now featured on the newgrounds front page.
Speaking of which- do you still post on the front page of Newgrounds to advertise anymore RoG? It was one of those self-promotions that made me a reader.

Yep, I just don't abuse it like some people do. I only try to post on there once in a blue moon when I have some real big updates or what have you. I'll definitely be posting on there soon though since I just moved to a new server, unveiled PickleMan Mega-Issue #5, and now have this new Pacman movie up. But yeah, Tom's always been supportive of my stuff anyway, so it's nice that he put that one up on the front page already. I actually might see him this weekend while I'm up in Philly.
BTW, thanks a lot everyone for voting on the movie today. We got the daily #1!

The rule of Newgrounds is to remember it's in the Opposite World. If the majority thinks something sucks, it's great. If the majority thinks something rules, it's shit.
So the more people that complain about it, the better it apparently is. Newgrounds viewers have some of the lowest IQs on the next, just a notch above Insane Clown Posse fans, and a notch below Brawl Hall.

On a related note, due to the overwhelming response this Pacman song has received, I'm going to be recording an album of songs in the same style as "I Will Beat Pacman" and "Dead Backstreet Boys". I'll be handling the guitars/vocals and my brother will be on drums as usual, and Killing Joke will be playing bass. Chojin is going to handle all of the recording, so it's gonna sound pretty nice cuz they done taught the lad good at that thar music school. :o
Right now I'm just trying to get all of our schedules straight and setup a time to do the recording, but hopefully we'll be doing it within the next month or so. As soon as I have some more news on this upcoming release (including sound samples) I'll let you guys know. :o

I wish I had enough money to buy it over the net. Of course, nobody will get it over where I live, and no stores will have it, so I'm fucked. Whatever.
I liked the first part where RoG was all mellow and just calmly saying "Pacman." His voice actually fits the description of one of those computer voices in SimpleText.

Thanks again for all the compliments (and votes). Just a quick note - I put up an mp3 page with the "I Will Beat Pacman" and "Dead Backstreet Boys" songs on them in case you'd like to download 'em. If I record any other tunes in the near future, I'll put them up on that page as well...
