So tonight I went to the comic store with my daughter who is 11 and I noticed an animation that I liked called G-force battle of the planets, but when I looked it up on the internet most people said it's pretty lame by today's standards, but it was one of my fav's as a kid. Anyway she has a few Spiderman comics, but at $5 bucks a shot for mostly advertising, she isn't finding collecting fun. I would like to find some books or something cool for her, most of the comics at the store are misleading for the fact that most are adult oriented and it's hard for me to find something in her age range...if anyone can suggest some stuff I would appreciate it.

Well, do you want books or comic books?

I can give you some advice book-wise, but I'm not a big comic book dork.

BONE by Jeff Smith is an excellent series (it's wrapping up, I believe). You can buy the trade paperbacks which consist of about six issues each. The artwork is B&W, but it's very good. I have all of the books so far... the old issues are super expensive.

You should also check out the new Conan comics. They are also awesome. :tear

I will check those out...I was looking for something for more girl like than Conan :) Like a series of comics or video's...she doesn't like Gundam or Yugi-o stuff :/ the things she does like so far have been Castle in the sky and Totoro, japanse cartoons.

Definitely Bone. And you can read it yourself afterwards, it really does work for all ages.
