Im hoping this turns out to be a decent movie, as i am a fan of the books, not the biggest fan, and i couldnt be bothered reading all of book 5, but i liked the tv series.

and who knows, it might come out about the same time as the red dwarf movie (in production) :)

I'm not sure about Red Dwarf. :/ I like the show, but I have the feeling that as the show got more money over the seasons, the jokes got worse. Like they're trying to put too much serious sci-fi into it, and too much of a solid plot line.

I'm just going to hijack this thread because if there's one thing that fans have ruined for me before I got a chance or even just the desire to check it out myself, it's Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
