Suppose he stays in Politics for the long haul, say he's around for the next thirty some odd years.
Do you suppose that even once he'll make a speech without making some dumb ass Terminator joke or bringing up an old Saturday Night Live sketch he obviously never understood was pointing out how shallow he is?

Only if it is something unimportant. War on terror? You NEED a terminator.
By the way, the current frontrunner for governor of Tasmania is an ex-cricket legend who holds the world record for drinking beer on an airoplane (53 tinnies on a one way flight from Melbourne to London)
Beat that California.

Schwarzy's one of the few celebrities who's managed to become more stereotype than person. As in, people incorporating his name into everyday language, into figures of speech, comparisons. So I'm pretty sure that yes, he'll ride the wave long past the moment where even the most dull-witted people are sick of it.

Come on, Max. You can do better than that.
"Shallow" is one of the dumbest insults I can think of. Especially coming from someone who's spending his time picking on a public figure on a humor message board.
Shallow is what goths call preppy kids in high school. Not adults.

I just want Arnie to dress up like Conan and cut the podium in half with a sword. Just once... that's all I ask. :(

I want numerous 'kindergarten cop' and 'jingle all the way' quotes when he is finally president and has his finger on the button as he is about to cause armageddon.
What the fuck is wrong with shallow as an insult? The man is horribly shallow... he makes casey kasem look like jacques derrida.

He can't be president. You have to be born in the USA to become president.

I wouldn't be surprised since some courts are debating whether illegal immigrants should get social secruitary after six quarters of work. >:

Speaking of which, this is sorta funny - a prank call made with a collection of Schwarzenegger sound files.

Any Californians out there who would like to critique Arnold's performance so far? Has he had much of an impact either positively or negatively? Is he mainly a figure-head? Is he likely to get re-elected?

I voted for McClintock, so this may sound somewhat surprising, but Arnold has had an extremely beneficial impact on California. Balanced our budget without federal assistance. Killed the car tax. Revoked liscences for non-legalized uitlanders. . .If he gets rid of the pesky 'no smoking within twenty feet of a doorway' legislature, I'll gladly campaign for him again in the future. As it is, I might very well do so anyway.

"I voted for McClintock, so this may sound somewhat surprising, but Arnold has had an extremely beneficial impact on California."
Uh not really. McClintock was the partyline following Republican candidate so it doesn't surprise me at all that you like what Arnold has been doing.
"Balanced our budget without federal assistance."
More like made severe cuts in the budget to balance it and take funds away from the counties, the handicapped, and public education.
"Killed the car tax."
The was going to happen eventually without Arnold being elected. It would have at least gone to the November ballot.
"Revoked liscences for non-legalized uitlanders"
I'm still not sure on how I feel about this. I think that identification of illegals is a good thing, but I don't agree that the licenses should look the same as normal ones. I have no idea what is going to happen with this issue.
Anyway, I don't really think that Arnold has done anything special or beneficial for the state. I do know that his education cuts posponed a friend of mine into getting into a state university until they could find more money and finally offer her admission which caused her and her family a lot of grief for months. But, since I'm leaving the state all I really have to say is "hasta la vista ahhh-nold."
