idk ;_;
I guess I'll save some for chirstmas time i guess my parents re loaded but before i had a job and lived at home and I only spent money on dvds ;_;
I have a birthday on the 28th and I'll probably get Slacker, Eternal Sunshine, & Strangers With Candy. I am buying Mr. Show because it would fucking kill me to wait another week for NEW Mr. Show audio commentaries :(
But there are a few I'm DEFINATELY buying when they come out, like Space Ghost and SCTV
I could buy them all, but I'd have no more food money for next semester ;_;
I love and hate DVDs, because at the moment where I think there isn't anything more that could possibly be released that I'd want to buy, there's like a billion things announced that I just must own. But lately it seems like there has been a drought in exciting DVD release announcements. :(

I would get the MST3K but I have most of those episodes, and MST3K isn't known much for Extras.

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2195
"Image's original press release told us that "Image, with the full cooperation and participation of 'Playhouse' creator and star Paul Reubens, also plans to release in 2005 a definitive, specially packaged limited edition containing all 45 episodes with commentary by Paul Reubens and additional bonus material culled from Reubens' vast show archives. " So anyone who wants the special material coming on that version, avoid the double-dip and just wait for next year's upgrade."

Yeah, I remember hearing something about that, but I didn't quite understand why they would do that... I guess now that i see they are making it a "limited" thing I can understand... But I never read anything OFFICIAL about it so now yeah I'm probably gonna wait.

I looked on amazon for Eerie, Indiana and all I saw was a three show DVD. Are they coming out with a full season one or is that it? Frankly, those are some of my least favorite episodes on one disc which is sad.

Maybe Amazon is just waiting until the release date is closer to put the item on pre-sale. Anyway, that box set is exactly what I want. How reliable is oldies.com? Thank you.
huond
Sep 14th, 2004, 10:33 PM
Well, tvshowsondvd.com reported that people were already recieving their box sets from oldies.com last week sometime, so you can take that for what its worth. i hope they're still shipping them early because I already ordered :(

why would you buy SCTV? Thats the WORST show ever. It's not even remotely funny.
I can't wait for the Littlest Hobo to be on DVD. Now THAT was a good canadian show :wink

Sep 23rd, 2004, 03:09 AM
You better be joking, you fucking twerp.
Jixby, you have SCTV Volume 1? Does it have those little inbetweens that say SCTV and it has that keyboard fare? For some reason that littlt ditty sent chills down my spine.
Jixby Phillips
Sep 23rd, 2004, 04:29 AM
idk if it has the same bumpers that you're thinking of, but it has all the original bumpers that were there when they aired, even like, when there's a bumper going to commercial, then theres a bumper in the middle of the commercial break, and then there's a bumper when it comes out of commercial, so there'll be like 3 bumpers in a row sometimes, and its a real treat!
I luf SCTV and if I ever had my own TV Show it would just be a total rip-off of it ;_;

Father Spaz, I'm not trying to be mean, but you're really coming off as unfunny and annoying. Could you either stop posting or stop sucking?
Seriously, you're really just embarassing, and I'm not trying to flame you or anything I'm trying to help.

Did you get the clerks 3 disk set yet? It's awesome. I wish they had that shitty tv pilot on it though :(

King of the Hill is funnier than Futurama.
Jixby Phillips
Sep 24th, 2004, 06:11 PM
YES i did get the Clerks 3 disk set and I think its one of the best DVD sets that I own. And to get it for 20 dollars was amazing.
Kevin Smith is basically the reason I got into DVDs. Because after I read reveiws of the Mallrats disk I REALLY fucking wanted a DVD player. To see him out do himself with his best movie is fantastic. A++++++++++ WOULD BUY FROM AGAIN

King of the Hill is funnier than Futurama.
It's about a Texan who sells "Propane and propane accessories." I don't get what's so funny :(
Daphne
Sep 24th, 2004, 07:50 PM
Yes but you don't seem to get that you're unfunny.
King of the Hill has some of the most sophisticated humour I've ever seen. The only people I've ever known to dislike it, are either morons or people who don't watch it.
Rongi
Sep 24th, 2004, 07:52 PM
which is ironic, because beavis and butthead was anything but sophisticated

Sep 25th, 2004, 01:05 AM
I can't watch an entire tape of Beavis and Butthead without becoming sick of it. I think Beavis and Butthead is funny, but it gets tired too soon and you need a break. :(
