I used to take anti-depressants, but took myself off them because it was making me zombie-like.

I take Stacker 2 sometimes now, and it really motivates me :D

Not all anti-depressants will neccessarily make you zombie like. It was probably just how you reacted to that particular type. If you need to take them, I would suggest trying a different kind.
(believe me I know this stuff)

and i have reason to believe my ex has sold our son's ritalin, at least once. it has no effect on him, and it could've been stolen. but he was shooting up every downer and pain med he could find at the time. i'm thinking he sold it to support his habit. :(

I don't get it. I can't be without problems. But I never had to take any sort of spycho drugs. But I'm sure if I was sent to a psychoanalyst, he'd find something or two with a name and prescribe my some of those. I'm not gonna tell you they don't do their work, but I think you're depending too much on those. You'll never be happy normal anyway.

I agree with you that psychiatric drugs are very over-prescribed. But speaking from experience, I know that if I had not been prescribed them I would have commited suicide long ago.
