As we speak, Republicans in the House are pushing for two issues they know will not pass. While we have yet to pass a budget, and have also yet to pass a handful of appropriation bills, they are debating guns in DC and gay marriage.

Granted, Republicans certainly didn't invent this tactic, but it always just amazes me when this happens. These people are not defending the interests of their constituents, they are intentionally targeting Democrats, so that they might run convenient little sound bites in their districts similar to the distortions on John Kerry.
