View Full Version : Pennsylvania Kerry Rally! Asterisks!

Hey y'all! We went to the Kerry rally today and had a blast and a few other people showed up.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/crowd2.jpg

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/crowd3.jpg

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/crowd6.jpg

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/crowd5.jpg (http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/crowd5big.jpg)

That last one has a big version if you click on it. The crop really doesn't do it justice.

Okay, just kidding, guys. Only this guy showed up.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerrybike.jpg

But at least we got a picture with him.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerrybikeEric.jpg

Of course, all vets hate Kerry, so there were none of them there.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/vets.jpg

Except for that guy.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/vets2.jpg

And that guy.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/vets3.jpg

And that guy, but he doesn't count cause I didn't get a frontal picture of his hat.

Of course, such a display of democracy made Jesus incredibly angry, and the fountains ran pink with the blood of aborted babies nationwide.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/pinkfountain.jpg

So, of course, Emily couldn't resist playing in it.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/pinkfountainemily.jpg

Naturally, Jesus himself was well-represented at the event as well.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/abortionisicky.jpg

I love that sign. It's like, "Don't get an abortion - I hear it's pretty icky." Next in this line of thinking will be the slogan "Appendectomies - isn't all the blood going a little too far?"

The liberal media was also represented:

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/newsvan1.jpg http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/newsvan2.jpg
http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/newsvan3.jpg http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/media.jpg
http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/media2.jpg http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/media3.jpg

There's this dude, too, who looks kinda familiar.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/media4.jpg

Sadly, the most liberal station of all apparently couldn't make it.

:tear

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/tokyonews.jpg

I mean, fuck, even TOKYO NEWS was there.

And then confetti goes everywhere and Clinton's entrance music blares from the line arrays! (I'm not kidding)

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/clinton.jpg

ANYBODY HERE FROM PENNSYLVANIA?

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/clinton2.jpg

YOU WAIT IN LINE, KERRY, I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY. MY FELLOW AMERICANS! GOTS ANY GUM?

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/clintonishot.jpg

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerry1.jpg

OKAY FUCK I'M HERE GUYS BILL YOU'RE SUCH A FUCKING SHOW-STEALER YOU KNOW THAT YOU PRICK YEAH HA HA I'M KIDDING GUYS THAT BILL'S SUCH A CARD. Uh... ANYBODY HERE FROM PENN- Oh, Bill already did that? Shit.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerry2.jpg

I PLAN TO WIN THE PRESIDENCY WITH THE MIGHT OF MY AMAZING PILEDRIVER. I WILL PICK BUSH UP, INVERT HIM LIKE SO, AND GENTLY YET FIRMLY GRIP HIS SPINE AS I DRIVE HIS HEAD INTO THE MAT FOR THE 1-2-3. AM I RIGHT GUYS.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerrybig7.jpg

All that talk about gripping got Kerry's bodyguard pretty hot, understandably. Look at him eyeing him with longing, unrequitted lust.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerrybig6.jpg

The first touch was something of a surprise and Kerry shook with a violent jolt.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerrybig4.jpg

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerrybig5.jpg

Thankfully for all parties, the supple grasping of Agent Smith was eventually accepted as a necessary evil and a good time was had by all.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerrybig3.jpg

And then, ArrowX's unreasonably gigantic, pudgy, and emaciated mitt reaches out to get in on the hot amateur presidential elect action.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerrybig1.jpg

Kerry swiftly dodges while posing for the crowd.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/kerrybig2.jpg

"I'm out, bizzies!"

"I love you."

Well, the day came to a close and we made some good new friends.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/newpeople.jpg

...And all was peaceful in Philadelphia.

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/philly.jpg

http://www.popnko.com/imock/kerry/interviewed.jpg

"So, what did you think of this informative vignette?"

"'Wiener.'"

Honestly, we had a lot of fun and it was refreshing to see so many Kerry supporters in attendance. After all the senators came up (some of whom were overly religious, but one of whom said "Bush thinks God talks to him. That scares the shit out of me.") some woman came through the crowd with blue tickets and let us move up closer, which is what the far-away pics of clinton and kerry are from. Afterwards, the crowd began to disperse and we moved way up. Emily almost touched Kerry ;< KERRY YOU MIGHT HAVE AMAZING HAIR BUT IF YOU TRY TO MUSCLE IN ON MY WOMAN YOU'LL BE IN A WORLD OF PRESIDENTIAL PAIN, YOU HEAR ME?

There were a grand total of about 10 protestors. But hey, at least they're fucking allowed to protest at a Kerry rally. Clinton was great as usual and his best line was "If you have a man who wants you to be be afraid and a man who wants you to hope, you want the man who wants you to hope," (Or something). Kerry's best line was "During the debates, Bush sat at a podium across from me and kept saying 'It's hard work. It's hard work. It's hard work.' Well, in eight days, I'll be more than happy to relieve him of that work," (Or something).

We met a couple nice people named Steve and Ellana (i don't know how to spell) and we walked 234234 miles to a taco bell afterwards and met another kerry supporter and we all say down and pretended to be important. In the ninth hour of the night, we headed back to b-more and I sat down and started writing this.

GOOD NIGHT, AND MAY GOD CONTINUE TO NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT AMERICA.

From what I saw of the rally on TV (I wonder if I could've seen any of you there?), Clinton still beats Bush and Kerry put together when it comes to charisma.

You've had since the first day of June to come up with an excuse for not showing up, and that's the best you can do?

So, why'd you come back? Get your lilly ass reamed out on some other board?
Fake a meet-up plan with someone else?

Or perhaps you just miss being beaten half to death verbally on a daily basis.

Max will be excited to hear from you again.

Doesn't seem a little convenient that his internal organs would conspire to explode on precisely the date that he was to don his Warren Moon and provide comic relief for all of I-Mockery?
Not that it's particularly convenient to have an organ explode or anything.

Now that's more like it! That's something I can identify with. Something I can feel the importance of, having been there and all. They conveniently tapped me for the same purpose several weeks ago when I had a dentist appointment.
"Sorry, Dr. Auger, busy saving the universe."
"Oh, no problem, Davin. Just watch out for those Vogons. Tartar like a motherfucker, they cause."
"Word, Yoda."
And so on.

On another note, are you lurking on one of my other boards or was that Starfighter reference just out of the blue?

It's crazy that no one thought of "I had a sudden mysterious medical problem" when Max was listing possible excuses Vince would come up with for standing up Sspad upon his return.

Still, this thread just became 200% more glorious.

Of course now Immortal Goat is going to show up and start baiting Vince like a rabid dog.

You were gon from the internet, and while you might try to tell us it's because you had other things to do, here you are again. And among many things that haven't changed, no one at the hospital taught you English. My guess? You did something that got you in trouble, and didn't have the money for the internet, or maybe Mom took away the basement hook-up as punishment.

thanks, gem :o it's really disheartening to think that close to 50% of our country is still voting to re-elect a complete moron, and i've come to 3 reasons why anyone would conciously make such a decision.

They are either
- Stupid (Ignores facts and reason)
- Highly religious (Could go under ignorant, but that's another topic)
- or Ignorant (Doesn't know facts, hasn't been reasoned with properly, and either sides with their traditional party like it was a football team or goes with gut reactions based on the current offices the candidates hold or the length of the words they choose to use.)

For example, my girlfriends' parents are voting Bush, even though her mother is a teacher. Their reason (and specifically said it was the only reason) was that they feel safer with Bush. Unlike most of the morons voting in the country, they at least watched 1/2 of two of the debates, and it's just crazy to me that they somehow think a vote for Bush is a vote for safety, considering the middle east is now REALLY 'put-off' with us. 9/11 did not make the world less safe, nor was it the product of a less-safe world. Terrorists have been trying to pull this shit for decades, and the one time they finally succeed the rest of the world has to fall in line to help us blow the crap out of unrelated nations.

It's maddening how ignorant most people in this country are, and excuse the President's performance in the debates with 'well, he's not good at debating'. It's not like we asked the men to have an impromptu basketball match, the entire point of the event was to show you how these people think (which generally occurs near the end, when they run out of rhetoric). It was clear that George wasn't thinking at all. But it doesn't really matter come election day because everyone has to root for their favorite team and refuses to educate themselves on the issues or make choices that would benefit the entire world and not just their petty religious beliefs.

I personally think that anyone that doesn't have at least a working understanding of our political situation should refrain from voting. Voting is a right, not a requirement, and if you're going to do it you should at least have a coherent explanation for why. There should be a little quiz at the door that you have to pass just to prove that you know what you're doing, and that you're not just voting for whomever has the most appealing name or other equally worthless reasons, just on the account that you can.

It's clear to me that Americans don't deserve to vote, since they apparently can't handle the responsibility of democracy.

Ricky Glue

If only we could have Clinton back! I think we just should make some changes and piledrive Bush out of office and just ask Bill really nicely and send him a flower/coffee basket. I think we could get him back...I'm willing to trade 2 Pikachus, 3 Blastoises and a Metapod for Clinton's big return.

i think a lot of people don't feel that their vote really counts for much, especially after all the confusion over the last election. i'm not saying that's an excuse, or that i feel that way. but we're not a pure democracy. and we don't have it all down like we sometimes claim.

people like you who voice their opinions and do it loudly, though, do bring more of an awareness. in my city, they're expecting a 75 to 80 percent voter turnout, which is completely unheard of. very cool. regardless of whether they're voting for the candidate you or i think is best.
