what the hell would the result be? lions who go to church and eat wafers? the lions volenteering for charity work at christmas? a new lion-messiah? what was going through this mad, mad, mad mans mind?

If he was sensible he could have started with chickens and worked his way up. If the chickens weren't into it, he could have decided the lions probably wouldn't be either.
