I thought Powell going was a foregone conclusion.

My only question is will he write a tell all attempting to exonerate himself, or is he too much the good soldier for that.

I think he has only himself to blame, but I think he might be mad at the administration for ruining his shot at becoming the first Black president.

He wasn't going to run. A few years ago, his wife had a nervous breakdown and the stress currently was hard on both of them. A presidential run might have killed her.

Plus, I think he just had surgery for prostate cancer.

Condalisa Rice named to replace Powell. Great.

These cabinet appointemnts have to be approved right? By the senate? Or have we done away with that entirely?

Can we at very least get some embarassing questions out of this? Like why did Condi think a document titled "Bin laden intent on attacking inside America" was a historical document? And what exactly the appointment for the attorney general found 'quaint' abouyt the geneva conventions?

Or would that be actively aiding terrorists?
