I think I'm gonna get a job at a local Gamestop. The EB nearby requires you to be 17, and I'm only 16, so yeah.

Probably only 6 bucks an hour, but from what I hear you get a free game each month (Or a certain amount of store credit) and it's something I really enjoy, so it'll be cool.

Does anyone work at one? What's it like? :(

I thought the only requirement to work at EB was that you had to be tall, skinny, sparsely bearded and wear glasses. I swear that every EB I've ever gone to has had the same two people working in it.

One of my friends who works there says you get 15% off games and you can borrow them for 4 days, and discounts at other stores in the mall. Could be different where you are.

Yeah, the EB guys here look just like that too :(

Only 15% off doesn't attract me that much, but I guess the "borrowing" does. I really need new computer stuff and Gamestop sells a little in the way of that. 15% off that stuff would be awesome.

good luck with that, it's almost impossible to get a job at a game shop down here.

I think you have to be around 18 to work at one here.

I'm working at the Japanese place in the mall, right around the corner from Gamestop. That means I get all the perks of already being friends with the Gamestop guys, and rather than standing behind a boring desk all day, I get free food and I get to cook :)

Where I am, you have to be 18 to work in GameStop or EB, and you have to be Japanese to work in a Japanese resturaunt.

No breaks for the 16 year old caucasian :(

I just started work at Gamestop.

Total horseshit.

Here is what you can do, after a certain ammount of Microsoft Sales, Microsoft gives out free games. (around here anyway) None of the good ones, but the decent ones. My friend just got Kingdom Under Fire, looks like every typical fantasy land clone.

2 years ago, it was a 30% discount off all games. Now it's 15%.
You also get a discount at either Barns and Nobles or Boarder's Books, one of them, don't remember which. But they all owned by the same company. And two other big name companies. Someone mentioned a video store, but I didn't catch the name.

eh, to long then?

But I enjoy how ScrewU2wice just ignored the info I gave, sounds like someone just skips the content, and reads only the first post.
