I would just like your opinion on the cartoon 'Family Guy'. Personally, it's not as good as The Simpsons, but then there are some people (not least serious Family Guy fanatics) that would argue with me on that.

I'd say Family Guy tries to be The Simpsons! The Simpsons came out before Family Guy (it's one of the longest running cartoons, if not, the longest).

Remember that Family Guy only has about 3 or 4 seasons (it started in something like 1998 - The Simpsons started in 1989), whereas The Simpsons are at their 8th (or so) season!

I find my self liking futurerama more than the simpsons. Don't get me wrong I love the simpsons, but their newer shows arent that great, seems like their just regurgitating old stuff. I guess after 18 or so seasons one would have to.

Most people who watched the simpsons for all those years can tell you one thing. The last couple of seasons are CRAP. (due to the fact that the head writer had never watched Simpsons before being hired)
Family guy is funny for the complete randomness it inserts. Classic Simpsons never had such off the wall shit. Only lately, have the Simpsons started having slightly off the wall random crap, which is a copy of Family Guy (i.e. The Family Guy's Y2k Episode) The closes you get to that is a Simpson Halloween episode, and even those have started becoming dull and slow.

Both Futurama and Family guy are vhastly supirior to the Simpsons. Hell, I would of been happy if they canned the Simpsons and continued with Futurama.

Simpsons season 15 was great, first two season 16 episodes are brilliant. Maybe the simpsons fans watch other episodes than I do.

Family guy is okay but truly the best animated show out there today is south park.

The Simpsons definitely had some great seasons, but Family Guy is definitely much different due to the completely random jokes and pop culture references... Futurama is damn funny too I'd say my third fav
