Yeah, it does rule...but I still think ff6 is the best. Don't get me wrong, it's my third favorite rpg, but ff6 kicks it's ass all over the place.

I played through all of 1, and am near the end of 2. And considering these games are stealing my soul through all the boredom, that's quite a feat.

Honestly, they're just boring. Maybe the newer ones are better, but I won't even dare touch DW3 or 4 after I finally force myself to beat the last 8 minutes' worth of 2.

But DW3 and DW4 are the best ones for the NES, if you stop now you'll just end up bitter. :(

I love the series and even I hated 2.

Well, it's going to be hard to force myself to play the other ones, after the first two bored me to the point I'd have to take a nap. I had thought "well maybe DW2 will be better than the first one." Look where that got me.

And then if I do play them, and I hate them, I'll still feel inclined to beat them (as was the case for the previous two).

Besides, I have about 16 other RPGS to beat.

It's still very similar, the fighting style is pretty much a trait of the series, so if that's the main reason you're hating it, there's not much to be done. >:

I finally decided to make my way into Rhone. And it's official: Dragon Warrior is the gayest series ever. I don't know what's worse: The monsters who cast Defeat, which has a higher rate of success than when I try to use it, ot the monsters who cast Sacrifice. There is a big difference between "difficult" and "cheap," Enix. I hope Square fires every last one of your shitty gamemaking asses in the merger. >:

I'm not looking for easy, I'm looking for the chance to beat at least two battles in a row. These monsters aren't difficult. They're extremely cheap.

Defeat: Has a higher chance than my spell has to instantly kill.
Sacrifice: Instantly kills all three of my guys
Explodet: Takes about roughly half of the HP of my stupid fag companions.

And then there's this big fucker who attacks twice in a row. And because the battle system for these games sucks, I don't know if I'll be able to heal a person before he attacks again and kills them.

Then there are these other fuckers who'll cast Sleep rather effectively, and pick off my guys.

I'm sorry, but that's deliberately near-impossible. No matter what level my characters could be, those tactics will still effectively take my party out. It's extremely cheap, and Enix is a bunch of fagmos. >:

My only hope is that I get some sort of burst of luck, and can run from every battle I come across, including bosses, in order to even make it to Hargon.

I fucking hate these games. There's no way I'm going to bother with 3 or 4.

BUT 3 HAS THE SCENE WHERE YOU GET PUFF-PUFFED BY THE GIRL'S "DAD" (I think they changed quite a bit in that translation) AND A WATER GUN. :(

I like some of the games in the FF series. I think 8 and 10 sucked. I really only like the cartoon looking ones. Plus they were too hard.

FFX was actually too easy. Once you get the Ultimate Weapons, all the final bosses literally needed only one hit to kill. I would have thought that Square would have seen this problem, and made the final bosses... not so fucking easy, or something.

Yes, the final bosses were definentily too easy. For the first I only needed Tidus with his ultimate weapon continually using his quick hit ability (I think thats what it was called) I had high enough agility where I could just do that over and over again and win the battle like that. All the rest you have that permanent auto-life on you, so you can't lose.

I almost felt insulted that all my characters had automatic auto-life for the final battle. But I must speak about this right quick:

Jecht has the best FF boss music EVER.

Well in terms of final boss music I liked that one the best. Though there were "regular boss songs" if you will, that I like even better then that one. I have to admit though that I like most of the boss music in FF period, maybe with the exception of FF9, it was ok but not as good as some of the other ones.

Of course, I don't think it's the best, I was putting a little overemphasis on it. However, it's nice (there's my UNDERemphasis) to hear loud, distorted guitars on an FF game.

I love all the FFs, but (dropping all pretense of character) my personal favorite is still the Sephiroth opera (the name of the track escapes me)

It did manage to send chills up my spine the first time.

Second place of course goes to the theme that would play anytime Golbez would show up in FF4, not necessarily because it's a musical masterpiece, but it did what it was intended to do: give a creepy, powerful, "I'm going to ERASE YOUR ASS" aura to Golbez. Kefka from FF6 doesn't even have that distinction because the first half of the game almost went out of its way to make Kefka look like a Rodeo Clown. Listen to the music that plays whenever he shows up and you'll see what I mean.

Yea I do like a bit of the old Kefka's Theme (Officially called "dancing mad") and though he did look a bit gay in the first part of the game when you face him as the final boss he looks like some huge (he took up like half the frickin screen) badass. angel dude. He had a couple of cheap moves though like the one that reduced everyones HP to 1 and crap like that.

Well, I beat DW2 just now. And I really could care less. You had to fight three guardians, then the final boss, then the FINAL final boss. And I just love their unlimited use of Healall (automatically refills all their HP, duh).

So the FINAL final boss killed me, which is a good thing. I got all my HP and MP restored, adn the guardians don't come back. So I just had to get to the final bosses again, and hope for some of that luck (seriously, I could be level 1 or 100 when fighting the guy, and it doesn't matter because it's just a matter of whether of not he'll use Healall that turn, or an attack that won't connect, etc).

But I'm going to forget about DW3 and 4 for now. Instead, I'm moving on to Final Fantasy 3.

Kefka is the most wicked villain ever in a FF game. He's hilarious and shockingly psychotic at the same time. What else can you ask for? The end boss tier was a real disappointment though.

Golbez' theme was a very cool track. Same with Kefka's theme.
