aside from drying your hair in the shower and licking razor blades, renting anything from rent-a-center is the stupidest thing you could do....

Renting a PC sounds kind of dumb...
I guess in theory it would be a good idea as you would be able to keep up with new hardware at a fraction of the cost of if you where to buy it all but it dunno.. the PCs they have to rent are probaby crappy and i would not be suprised if there where lots of ristrictions as to what you can do with it or put on it.

Back in the days I once rented a computer............

Never again

We where told not to download anything onto the computer, but how would I live without having AIM and Winamp Pron TV? I attemped to download all that software regardless but the damn thing froze every fricken 5 minutes to the point where I accidentally smashed the computer many, many, times with my steel toe Timberlakes.

What a waste of money that was.

I'm kinda happy though, I wouldnt be surprised if those things where ridden with friggen spyware and keyloggers, trying to steal everyones damn credit card numbers and shit.

Why don't you try to rob the grandma across the street who wants to keep in touch with todays "technologicly advanced" younger generation, aka her Daughter and Grandaughter who work 9 to 5 in some crappy 5x5 cubicle processing contest entry tickets for next weeks car givaway.

I mean it isn't like she actually knows how to use it, shes old as hell and why waste a nice new Pentium 4 on a person who thinks the damn cd trays a friggen mug for her damn bland shitty shop and save brand coffee.

While your at it, break all her phones too. I don't want to be at my job trying to awnser hypothetical questions from these people about "What happens if I accidentally delete my trashcan" or something like "I got this game called Island monkeys or someodd and when I play it my computer makes all kinds of noises, is it broken?" If you can't even grasp the fact that those bleeps are some of the most greatest musical compositions ever ringed out by a computer, then I surely hope you choke.

...............whoa what was the topic again?

It's rent to own. a little something down a little something a week for a very very, very long time. your basicly free to do what you want with it since it is your computer after you enter the contract. and its brand new, but you pay for it more than twice due to high interest rates on there rentals. not a good idea in the long run.

I personally think it's pretty dumb. I don't know if it's true or not but if you rent them you are personally responsible for everything that happens (IE Virus', Hardware Crashes) and you must get them fixed, or pay them to do it.
