"It's like when the hijackers took over those four planes on Sept. 11 and took people to a place where they didn't want to go," she added. "I think a lot of people feel that liberals have taken our country somewhere we don't want to go. I think a lot more people realize this is our country and we're going to take it back."

-MO Representative Cynthia Davis, as quoted in the NY Times

Dear Congresswoman Davis;

Bravo to you for your recent comments published in the New York Times. You have clearly aritculated the collective conservative consciousness in this great nation. The Republican party has wrested control of that metaphorical plane from the liberal jihad, and set a course for Our Lord Jesus Christ International Airport.

You, dear Congresswoman, represent not only the great State of Missouri, but also the morality and virtue that our country so dearly lacks. And it makes my heart swell with pride that you and the rest of the true conservatives approach your mission with such vigor and blind zeal, and will not let the Constitution, legal precedent, public opinion, or science stand in your way.

Your words, madam, are a beacon unto others. They don't simply condense the unflinching courage of the GOP's mission into a golden nugget of truth. Oh, no, indeed. They accomplish much more than just that. Their clarity will put an end to partisan bickering, and their truth will shine into the hearts of those poor, misguided liberals, just as the light of the Lord shone into Paul when the scales were removed from his eyes. No longer will the Red States be unjustly lampooned as backward, poorly-educated, and intolerant of new ideas, empathy, and scientific fact. When God's Own Party leaps over the last hurdle that is the Supreme Court, true and sweeping change will be wrought.

You have filled me with a vision, madam Congresswoman- a vision of a nation in which unquestioning nationalistic fervor will replace such outmoded concepts as logic and reasoned discourse; where the Constitution will be strictly interpreted by our Christ-appointed president, and not some slobbering liberal heathen San Francisco judge; and hopefully, the country will come to unite under the only law we need- God's law. And I mean the One True God, not that raving lunatic false god that those silly Arabs so wrongly worship.

Yours in Christ;

Don't send it like that. She might take it seriously. :/

If even her limited intellect can't pick up the sarcasm that is dripping from that letter, then she doesn't even qualify as a sentient being, let alone a public official.

I don't know, if the stupid bitch is dumb enough to say something like that, I wouldn't presume anything about her intelligence. :/

Send it to her and all your local papers.

My favorite part of the quote your responding to is "A place they didn't want to go"

I love the idea of a fiery, violent death being "A place they didn't want to go."

Unless she meant Manhattan, the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania

It's been sent to her, the STL Post-Dispatch, and the Riverfront Times. I'll probably hit up some other papers when I have more time, just for giggles.

You should close the envelope with a wax stamp that says "fuck you" in beautifully decorated letters.

Sorry, I'm just imagining how cool it would be to have something like that.

It wouldn't suprise me if the Riverfront Times published it and made it into a cover story. Even you would have to agree that the RFT is the biggest piece of liberal shit in St. Louis.
