Sorry for bringing this up again, but I was just playing over through it again and holy crap EX Slayer is a fucking monster. His attacks are slower but so fucking powerful it's insane. He punches more than he kicks in this mode, and every move of his seems like it can be integrated into a combo.

I think I made up a combo earlier tonight and I love it.

Aerial 2 QCB + S Overdrive, catch into HCB F + S Overdrive. It takes the whole tension bar, but will easily take about 75% of his health meter.

I prolly didn't make it up, but that's why this is one of my favorite games. I love going into training mode and just making up stuff and using it on people later. :(

Alright, is this for X2 or the new one? :(

I haven't played the new one :(

I hope you're playing X2 abd not GG Isuka.

Maybe it's only me, but after the joygasm that was GGX2, Isuka almost felt like a complete buzzkill, it was THAT bad.

I heart I-no

I heart heart I-no...but not as much as Bridget and Chipp.

I like Chipp a'cause he's an American heroin addict who desperately wants to be Japanese. That, and he's the fastest. :o

Have you guys made any combos or anything? I need reasons to keep playing :(

it's hard to talk about combos since I tend to just do them instinctively.

try down, down, circle followed by triangle, then a prompt quarter circle forward x. if you do it right, you should get an air teleport and a spin slash followed by an alpha blade. oh, and don't forget to backstab.

of course, that's on PS2. I have no idea what it would be for the buttsexbox.

No, that makes sense :o

Try this one. Gotta be real close-distance. "V" is Down, by the way.

S - S - V + HS - QCF + HS (Alpha Blade Catch) - HCB, F Overdrive

It slashes twice, throws the opponent in the air, catches the electric bolt thingie, and then gives you time to pull off the side-jumping Overdrive. This is, of course, assuming the person doesn't recover after the uppercut, which a ton of people do. :/

I have Giulty Gear X for Dreamcast. Many days of marathon playing are in that disc. :memories

New Survival record. 400, with Ex Slayer.

I would've gotten higher, too, but I fought Black Sol and he and Potemkin're my two Achille's Heels. We both had about a centimeter of health left, and I had him in a combo and out of nowhere he broke it and did the punch-redscreen-Overdrive. I was pissed.

I have a combo that everyone should try. Seriously.

Okay, go into Training Mode and pick EX Slayer. ONLY EX.

Put your tension on maximum and try this out.

(Aerial) 2 x QCB + S OVERDRIVE, catch into a 2 x QCF + HS OVERDRIVE, catch into a HCB,F + S OVERDRIVE.

Okay, what'll happen is he'll do the aerial overdrive, throwing himself down and then launching the opponent in the air. As that opponent is landing, recover, and do the cape overdrive while he/she is still in the air (That's important)...they should fall from the top of the screen, allowing you to do the supar punch overdrive. If you mess up a few times and only swat him/her with the cape instead of making them disappear, keep trying it.

I pulled up the damage key, and it does 295 damage, which is insane. My previous amount was only 250. Too bad it'd be impossible to do this in the real game, 'cept if it was a black character :(

How big is your damage counter? :o
