Can it really be that Gonzales is going to be confirmed? Over and over he was asked by Republicans and Democrats if he believed the President had tha authorty to overide laws against torture. Ober and over, he refused to answer what he insisted was a hypothetical question.

This is what we accept as the highest law enforcement officer in the land? This man is not a lawyer, he's a Consigliari.

Sounds like a lawyer to me. If he were a judge appointee he would argue both sides to himself until everyone, including himself, was so utterly confused they would just move on from it and say that there was no jurisdiction to answer the question anyway.
