I'm very mainstream when it comes to stuff like this, I'd have to say Zelda.

Hmm this is tough to answer with just one game.
Possibly Bionic Commando
Too many to choose from.
Edit: Too hard to pick one. C2:Simon's Quest might be my favorite.

Mine is probably Contra. It's short but maybe I can hack into it and make more levels.

Super Mario 3, Little Nemo, Castlevania 2 and of course, the unmentioned Zelda games. I liked Zelda 2 better actually but I loved them both. I used to fake sick so I could stay home from school and play Zelda when it first came out.
Then the Final Fantasy series came along and led me to do the exact same thing at an older age :)

And Simon is the best in part 2.
Trevor is older in the timeline anyway.

I noticed that Zelda was indeed there, and I did edit that post, but it must've not shown up. My browser window did the "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" after I clicked on "submit" so...

Well, I-Mockery solved this problem. >:
But there you can't shoot the damn ducks. >:

I know I-Mockery solved that problem, I've played it many a time. What I meant was, it should've been an option in the original game, the I-Mock version was 15 years at least late. What I wouldn't have given to be able to shoot him way back when.
The same for the old man in Zelda. Whoever wrote those games deserves a million dollars

Only about 5 games came out for the light gun though. The other ones were stupid, not Duckhunt though.

The original Metal Gear.
I discovered this game later in life, and I've played any NES game I could get my hands on, but it's just cool to play a game that's so flawed (even though the stealth concept is quite original) yet be fun to play. Just like in the modern MGS games it's fun to outwit the enemy and find solutions to advance further.
When I say "flawed", there are multiple grammar errors and controls can be sketchy.

Which one? I think there is two. My favorite one was in the first level you kill the guys and pick up their legs. Then you kill stuff with their legs.

Light gun games: Duck Hunt, shoot discs game, Hogan's alley, Paintball. These are the ones i have.
If you havent heard of paintball you shoot guys in mohawks in a forest, then a city and then a snow place and it repeats over and over. It is very :love

I have a magizine from 1986 with all of the light gun games in in. Hogan's Alley was good, I just wish they weren't little cardboard people. They should be actual people trying to run away. >:
