So my first mistake was waiting 50 minutes in line to buy shirts. Next mistake was to go back in with those shirts and then getting stuck in huge crowd. I tried to push up to the front and give my friend my stuff for him to hold on to. I was going nowhere, when I see a hand snatch a shirt out of my hands. I try to go see who it is when I get rammed by a crowd surfer. I'm trying to find the asshole that took my shirt when my friend comes up to me and tells me that her boyfriend passed out and that we need to get the other 7 people we came with. Somehow we got 6 people together and we just waited for the last person to come out since the show was almost over. Then we got lost for about an hour, going home.

But Streetlight Manifesto is still the best live preformance I've ever seen.

There was this enormous fatass at a Gwar show whose arms were bigger than my legs. He was doing some sort of crazy uppercut sort of thing in the mosh pit.....all of a sudden, these security guards come out of nowhere and drag his fat ass out of the bar....

I get clocked pretty regularly since I'm a head taller than most folks around me. I'm not a violent person but there's something about getting sucker-punched that'll make you see red.

I was at a Blues Explosion show once and there was this guy slamming around like he was at some Oi show or something. He was running into girls who were trying to stay out of the way yet still close enough to see. Drinks were spilled and basically he was spoiling everyone's time around him. Instead of looking for security, I tripped him and when he hit the ground, I give him a couple of healthy kicks to the ribs.

I thought surely I was in for a fight but he got up and started explaining that he was trying to have fun. I reminded him that everyone else was there for the same reason and that I'd do it again if he kept acting like an ass. Either he went somewhere else or he calmed down because I don't remember seeing him again after that.

I've abandoned any scene solidarity after the pits lost the counter-clockwise formation. Those damn ninja dancers make me want to start tossing bar stools. Fortunately, I don't find myself in too many "pits" these days.
