2003's record is Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye easily. I didn't get a lot of 2004 music, but cerberus shoal -cerberus shoal is a good pick

Original Pirate Material was better. Bouncin' round like bunnies.
I didn't listen to any new albums this year, caught up with kinda old ones. Boards Of Canada's "Geogaddi" was pretty incredible.

Exactly, The only reason I put MMW's album is because its the only album that I bought and liked in '04. I could have said SMiLE, but that album wasn't really made in '04.

Dude, I listen to stuff ranging from Depeche mode to Schoenberg to Arovane to Incantation. The green day album was just really really tired cliched-out american punk rock and the girl in auf der maur can't write a decent song to save her life, let alone sing it.

Apparently we listened to two completely different albums. The only song on that album that sounds like the typical "punk rock" is the title track (which did bore the hell out of me). The rest of the album isn't typical punk at all. It's a rock opera and a huge departure from their old sound and style. Fucking fantastic.
As for Auf Der Maur, I loved the huge sweeping sounds of the music, and the vocals on songs such as "Real a Lie" and "I Need I Want I Will" are stellar. There were some songs on there that I didn't like, but overall I've found that album on my replay list quite often and I'm definitely looking forward to future releases from the band.
Bad Religion's latest album was also a big one for me and their live show had just as much high energy as ever. Those guys never seem to let me down.
