Sweet mother of satan. You know how Dillinger used to sound, when they were still fresh and psychotic? Remember what is sounded like when you were waiting for Calculating Infinity and when it came, it burst your head into little sniglets? Psyopus sound like the absolute best of DEP with some even more psychotic twists. This band is off the wall fucking nuts! They're up there with Ion Dissonance for the most psychotic band i have ever heard. Do yourself a favor and kick yourself in the asshole for not having this album already, and then buy it immediately. You WILL NOT regret it. If you absolutely must have proof and can' rely on my recommendation alone, visit their site (http://www.psyopus.com) and listen to their MP3s.

Seriously. Balls to the wall. BALLS TO THE WALL. By the way, i think it is by far the most blatantly gay record i own. The inner sleeve has all of them sitting shirtless, and they all look like fucking fabio.

their drummer isn't competent enough, though. The guitarists (or is it just one fucker overdubbing himself?) are/is nuts though, and pretty fast and smooth on the legato runs. The fact that they play very very technically and they just keep going at it for 4-5 minutes at a time is really scary, though. Other bands put in one or two tech runs just to show they can play like that if they wanna (The End, Red Chord) but god-damn, these people are nothing but tech.

Very good band, very glad ninja turned me on to them.

It's just one guy overdubbing himself. Funny enough though, he's the guy that won the Limp Bizkit guitarist competition, and he didn't get any sort of prize or anything.
