Is a very good author. All his books are action thrillers, which revolve around intelligent topics like religion and politics. The fact that his books get you excited about these topics says something about his great writing style. He goes through so much research for his books as well. He wrote the best selling book 'the da vinci code' which is being turned into a movie, and he wrote 'Angels and demons' which is my favorate book of all time (its all about science versus religion). Fucking amazing author. Has anyone else here read his books?

I read DaVinci code, and I don't like it. The characters are boring as hell, and the author pretends like he did way more research than he really did. A lot of the time it's very obvious he doesn't know shit about what he's talking about.

Digital fortress is my favourite followed by deception point.

The da vinci code was alright.. and i liked the ending but there was something about it which just didn't interest me. Mabey its bacause i find religion incredibly boring.

I have yet to read angels and demons. Il have to find a copy somewhere.


ADDED: oh yea. I just rembered i saw him on TV the other day. He looks like a cunt but i guess his books are alright so il let him off.

finallly. Everyone I talk to says that the bible is wrong because the Da vinci code says so, eventhough the book can't back up any of what it says. The main character is one of the most annoying people ever, and the attempted love story is almost as bad as in the movie SWAT.

Plus Dan Brown's conspiracy theories and historical connections have, as far as I know, all been thought of by others in the past. He just wrote a Jerry Bruckheimer movie around it.

I must admit I'm being a bit of a hypocrit, cause his books are so popular that I'd feel like a whore for just checking them out.

You don't have to read the books, you pretty much got it right. He has made old theories, many of which are half-cocked, more accessible to the general public by sacrificing credibility for entertainment value. So, yeah, Bruckheimer.

Ya, but I actually like Bruckheimer.

Dainci Code was a nice little story with a few clever twists, but thats about it.

To say he was liberal with his depiction of history is to say Marlon Brando was a little pudgy. And he is really pissing me off when he goes on interviews and claims that he is acuratly depicting the way things happened.

Ya, I came across that book doing a research paper on the Templars a while back.

They made leaps in logic that Evul Kenvil wouldn't try.

They're main evidence was a bunch of aristocrats who gave their word that they were part of the actual Priory of Scion.

DaVinci code, nice ideas that appeal to feminists everywhere, ideas that have been published at least 10years ago by others more informed, but never made it into mainstream. Was Dan doing this cos he realises women are fucked over by religion or just to make money off us?

i read the book in 3 days. it was a fun story. the writing isn't all that great and i was able to figure out most of the "puzzles" before the characters could. that was annoying.
